found these guys after finding the Beanhunter iPhone app and looking for a good coffee place near work. I found it. The atmosphere here is amazing. it's a tiny little shop, but the purple walls and black wrought iron features make for a fantastic frame to their royal purple La Marzocco. I placed my order just after 8am on a Friday morning, there was steady business, but my coffee still arrived within 5-10 minutes. brilliant for that time of morning. The Latte I ordered seems a little on the subtle side for my liking, I think next time I'll try a short coffee for a bit more intensity; but the flavour is fantastic. Smokey and full despite being subtle on the palate.

CocoaWoo is one of several cafes serving Campos coffee to the Brisbane CBD crowd - although they are quick to point out that theirs is a unique blend that you won't find elsewhere. It's a funky little café on Charlotte St with a classy feel to it, probably due to the impressive selection of hand-crafted chocolates on display. It’s a wonderful combination (coffee and chocolates), and seeing these chocolates instantly reminded me of the wonderful times I had years ago living in my favourite little town in South West France. Amazing how the human mind works… There’s a very interesting purple theme throughout, and just one large table in the back section of the café. All the other seating is arranged around the outer wall - so it's more suited to people who come on their own or as a twosome. Keep in mind, if you do come on your own there’s no WiFi for patrons, which is a shame. The limited number of seats (odd stools actually) suggests that most people would be coming here for take-away coffee. The young lady who took our order greeted us with a smile and was happy to tell us about their coffee. We were offered some glasses of water as soon as we sat down – nice touch. Our coffees also came out very quickly - we had intentionally visited during a quiet time early in the afternoon. So I'm not sure how well they cope here with rush hour, but I'm guessing there might be a couple more people working during the morning rush. The coffee is very good. I took a triple ristretto latte and it was almost spot on. There was a lovely cocoa flavour to this blend, but I felt that the barista could’ve extracted a bit more flavour. It just wasn’t quite as rich as I know it could’ve been. But I’m probably being a touch over-critical here, because I’d take this and enjoy it again and again. It’s great to know there’s yet another quality coffee available in this part of the city. I’ll be back.

Definitely one of the foremost coffee establishments in the Brisbane CBD. The Campos blend is a very smooth and wholesome coffee - consistantly made well. Would recommend a double shot however for coffee enthusiasts. The cafe maintains an excellent atmosphere, one of the best I've been to.
