Oh I love this French caf茅. If you don't want to do serious damage to your diet don't come here. Love the authentic pastries. wish they had more comfortable seating with backs though. Plenty of good brews consumed here. I feel happy and relaxed and the coffee is Merlo I think but a good well rounded brew. Lovely little place to chill out after the cinema. I love looking at the d茅cor. So French. Staff are genuinely interested in serving and very professional.

Great food and service, bad coffee. I like to get my coffee from pony cat which is just around the corner, and croissants from here. Omg the mushroom croissant is life changing... Almost. Ha

The baking never fails to make you feel like you've just stepped into some ancient pattisere in the heart of France. The coffee remains good, consistant and the barista is even practising with her art on the babychinos.

Eet ees popular wiz ze locals, n'est ce pas? ...and for food and bread it isn't difficult to understand why. For those who can secure a table I guess the cafe experience is a gas as well. For those condemned to order at the counter and hope that a seat might appear at the right moment on a busy Saturday morning - it's stressful. You are required to stand - ready to pounce on the one hand and listening for your order to be called on the other amongst a throng of others doing the same around crowded tables and benches filled with folks who had done this earlier, but were now comfortable and channelling their best relaxed, Parisian airs and determined not to be rushed. A man in an apron tries to appease those who have ordered with promises that he'll find you a table, but he's only human. My coffee and viennoiserie arrived along with seats for half our party in the full summer sun. The others found seats as patrons fainted in the glaring heat and had their bodies dragged away - or perhaps they finished and left; I didn't actually see them go. Coffee was well average and on the bitter side; cakey things exceptionally good. Worth the stress? I'd only ever return on a week day.

I will start with the positive's as overall the whole experience was good, however this is a coffee site so if the coffee isn't up to scratch people need to be told. Well I often get takeaway baked treats and cakes from this little gem, and having been to paris, I have to say this is as close as you will get to the real thing. Absolutely to die for pastry and the chocolat' mousse cake is heavenly. The service is really good and sets the whole french feel. Really nice touch with the hiring of french staff! However one morning I decided to dine in, and although as stated above the food was perfect and as was the service, the coffee was pretty bad. Both mine and my partners coffee's were too bitter and I mine was too frothy (flat white) might have been a bad day, but I probably wont have coffee here again. Will be back for tje food though.

Always a fantastic traditional or should I say authentic French experience. The bakers are really from France and trained there! The baked products are wonderful and you won't find better in the city. The coffee has greatly improved and is now consistantly good each time. (Well done Luca and team). Go early!
