I have been back to Catalyst 3 times recently, not just hoping for quality improvement, but limited by my current mobility. Coffee: average: Too hot to drink within times constraints of a tea break, milky, not quite right. Salad bowl: Underfilled, maybe 3/4 if lucky, tasted good. Croissant: Very nice. Staff attitude: Average (as usual). Rating: 2.5/5

Further to my extremely bitter coffee (which I tipped into the garden), a purchased a protein ball. These proteins balls have also declined in taste. Todays tasted as though the ingredients had been sitting in the back of a pantry for 10 years, stale! Another confirmation, I will never again visit this cafe.

This cafe was great when it first opened. Sadly that has diminished along with the great staff and good coffee. Today, first time I've been there for several months I asked for an ice latte in my 230ml keeper cup. I was charged $4.90 plus an extra $1 for zymil. I was presented a ice coffee alright, with a double shot (which I didn't ask for but was clearly charge) or the most disgusting coffee I've ever had the displeasure of attempting to drink. I asked why a double shot? Looking at me oddly they tipped half the contents out and topped it up with more zymil. Seriously, how are these people employed. Didn't even have half a brain to remake fresh using one-shot. Never go here. I won't be again.

first time here. great surroundings. very busy but staff quick to open a second order line. good knowledge of food and coffee. Had my obligatory skim cappuccino. temperature was excellent and very smooth. would highly recommend.

The building in which this cafe resides is beautiful. Unfortunately, the coffee is average at best. Most have been luke-warm and milky. The significant lines definitely aren't a sign of quality, rather the lack of choice in the area. The food on the other hand is ok, but if you need a coffee hit, head elsewhere!

Roaster in the window and a SCAA cupping wheel on the wall indicates that this place means business... business it seems is making mulah and not quality coffee. Staff seem to be busy but for no apparent reason other than not to greet you. Flat white came out with 2 inches of foam in a small cup, even still barely tasted better than instant. Very limited option in the area so this cafe only services local clientele. A little hard to find but its not worth looking for if you're after a good cup of coffee. A nice environment though if you just want to get away from things.

I work nearby, so I was looking forward to Catalyst Cafe. Sadly a few months in & the coffee is ALWAYS dangerously hot. My mouth has been burnt a number of times. The food is hit and miss. The atmosphere would've been much better if they didn't make you feel unwelcome after 4pm. Packing up tables is a little rude. The staff are lovely.
