Not a bad coffee, but they failed to extract the best out of good blacksheep coffee. I tried Cabiria several times, but always could not finish their coffee without any reasons. The guy barista did a good job, but my coffee tasted slightly sour. Service here is better than other places in Barracks for sure. The coffee and muffin deal is very reasonable. I am happy to go back when I want to have a quick coffee before a film, or want to have some nice food.
Arguably the best coffee The Barracks has to offer compared to the others in the complex. The coffee is never bitter here and wait times are usually short. The price is higher, a 16oz will set you back $5.00 here. There is a new girl currently making coffees here and while she's not the worse coffee maker, she is a lot slower than Jason and the other barista guy that used to primarily make all coffees. She doesn't make small talk much like the other baristas either, which is a shame because Jason loves his coffee. He's a perfectionist, loves to talk all facets of coffee with you.
On recommendation from the local barber. Not much to choose from in the morning at The Barracks, but Cabiria (predominantly a bar) had a queue of local office workers - a good sign. Coffee was very good. Crema on long black did not hang round long but flavour was right - not super deep but not at all bitter either. Barrista was engaged and the offer of water with a black coffee (which is less and less common these days) which was thoughtful. Will come back again when visiting.
