Buzz was created by Peter Kedwell and his wife Margot McKinney who fell in love with the BUZZ corner site at Emporium in Fortitude Valley. In early 2007 Peter and Margot set about creating a quintessentially casual, Queensland indoor and outdoor dining experience, and thus BUZZ was born. With Peter’s experience as a fruit and vegetable wholesaler, and Margot’s design expertise through her involvement in the 4th generation McKinney’s Jewellers, a wonderful melding of fresh produce presented in a casually sophisticated environment evolved. In the kitchen is creative force and head chef, Daniel Edwards, assisted by his capable team. Daniel's extensive experience, serves him well and his signature cuisine is unpretentious, clean and abundant in delectable seasonal flavours. Quality and freshness are pivotal to Edwards and his team and are tenets of BUZZ supported by Kedwell’s access to the freshest produce possible. Kedwell and McKinney’s philosophy for BUZZ is based on reliably good service, a friendly welcoming atmosphere and above all the highest quality food, wine and Di Bella Coffee.
