Very interesting building. Friendly efficient staff. Not the place to sit with computer as seating is limited, which I had wanted to do. I had a soy flat white, single shot, which tasted like frothy milk (soy milk) and it came with chocolate chunks on the top which I didn't want because of the taste and also because I am vegan and those chips often contain milk. Being a wimp and as none of my friends were looking, I didn't ask about the chocolate and drank it anyway.
Went back over Christmas holiday period. So many selections of good beans from nice Melbourne roasters. I also try their coffee cart at Milton market. Bunker always offers good quality coffee and service is friendly and prompt. My batch brew was sweet and robust as I like while my partner's five sense'a flat white was served at the right temperature and had nice milk chocolate taste. He also tried Ethiopia as milky coffee which some cafes may refuse as some find too fruity and light. I tasted his cup and found it carries a hint of caramel but subtle acidity. I quite liked it. They are really small but sitting outside on a bench converted from old railway sleeper with excellent coffee well compensated my holiday deprived of good coffee.
Great little stop for a quick coffee. Staff are nice, however coffee lacks depth and is milky. They operate a pop up at the Milton Markets, wouldn't recommend one from there though. The coffee we had was undrinkable ...feel they're over-stretching their brand by doing this.
