Didn't have a coffee but had a nice iced tea. I love hole in the wall places with a cool ambiance. And I love places with couches to sit in and free wifi. Perfect for what I was looking for. And for a less refined coffee pallet such as myself, I'm sure this place would do.
Great atmosphere, one of the best in the CBD. Perfect if you want to catch up with a friend at a place that oozes funkyness and seclusion in the misdt of a busy environment. Perfect for social drinks and tapas. Very friendly and efficient service too. However, the coffee was the overall let down in this regard. Still drinkable, however never consistent. Whilst there are a plethora of controllable and uncontrollable variables for making a good brew, the fact remains that at "premium" coffee venue, the flat white you receive on a Monday, should be the same as any other day or time of the week. Simply not the case at Brew. However, I will still be coming in for a post work beer/ catch up. Just not for the coffee.
Table service operates and staff are friendly and welcoming. Just ordering coffees, they arrived quickly and presented with a quality crema, indicating good beans and preparation. Aroma was faintly citrus with caramel on the palate and a smooth finish, medium to full bodied with flavour to the last drop. A range of rolls and gourmet burgers featured on the menu as well as juices and other drinks. A nice and quiet out of the way place - enter by a laneway with an underground feel.
