OUR MISSIONTo bring you the best ‘easy dining’ experience this side of the moon WHAT WE DOFabulous Brunch, Lunch, Coffee & TreatsWHAT MAKES US GREAT?Our passion comes from the top. Our owners (Simon and Hannah) have always tried to create a happy, friendly working environment for their staff (or Urbanistas as we call them!) as they believe happy staff = happy customers = profit
I had a very good double espresso today just before closing time. Staff was still very friendly even though they were closing up on a sunday afternoon. Minimum charge for credit card payments is 5 pounds and a double is just 1.85 so just keep that in mind if you're only carrying plastic (as I was).
Urban coffee is a blessing and a curse (but not really). It serves me some of the best coffee I've ever tasted but it also opened my eyes to the terrible brown dribbles that so many places try and pass off as the real stuff. Staff are lovely, atmosphere is great. The kind of place you can set yourself up and happily sip the afternoon away. Coffee menu can seem a bit daunting but staff are on hand and it gives you options you'd never normally have when asking for a mug of coffee! Since moving out of the midlands I do miss it and always make sure I squeeze in a visit when I'm back!
I'm a regular at this coffee house. The quality is very good, so I take colleagues and consultants there for a break, it never fails to impress. The staff have a great knowledge about the products, they seem to do a lot of training too. The premisis is chunky pine and some comfy leather sofas, very relaxing though it can get a bit warm upstairs, so watch out in the summer. Regrettably, it is a victim of its own success and can also get very busy... Friendly, knowledgable, relaxing and top drawer coffee, what else could you want (apart from air con)
I'm a student and often commute from Wolverhampton to Birmingham via the Tram. As soon as I step out the Snowhil Tram Station I have a serious dilemma; Go left to Aston University or go right to Urban Coffee! I find Urban Coffee a great little place which isn't too far hidden in Birmingham like other coffee places but not too commercial either. It has the right mix of style and comfortable environment that makes me want to go and stay there. I often have the Indian Monsoon which takes a few minutes to make but the service there is great, the system they have is efficient and the staff are really friendly. The coffee itself is nicely made and they also have good food options available too. Me being a vegetarian I enjoy their Brie Sandwich with Crandberry Sauce. It's a great place to go with friends or by yourself. The downstairs is great for quick meetups and the upstairs is a comfortable environment to meet with a few friends for longer periods of time. They Tweet back aswell which is always nicely!! (Follow them on @UrbanCoffeeCo)
