Excellent spot for the serious coffee lover. They are erios about their coffee - roast their beans and do a hose blend as well as single origin. Columbian sigle origin today was as good as yo would get in some of Melborne's best - smooth, fruity and well balanced. The hose blend of Ethiopian, Thailand and Burundi beans was more acidic but still top shelf.
With thanks to Beanhunter and with a little spare time, I've finally found a proper coffee. I'm giving this coffee a 10! Not because it's the best coffee I've ever had, but more that it's the best coffee I've found in south-east Asia! Well... Up til now. Ended up having 2 DSFW, one each of the beans on offer. My preference is the Columbian, but the house blend was also nice - though the Ethiopian beans really cut through this blend. The mini pork burger and cakes are also very good. Great find. Thanks Beanhunter. I'll be back in the morning.
This cafe is fantastic, and I was so surprised to find that it does amazing coffee, on a beautiful la marzocco strada. I had a flat white made with the house blend - a mix of Ethiopian, Burundi and Thai. It's was silky smooth and had notes of caramel, brown sugar and cinnamon. I also had an Ethiopian pourover which was full of citrusy notes and was delicious. The little macarons are sweet, and the cafe serves a good breakfast and lunch. Size S has a really Scandinavian feel and is a lovely place to sit, drink great coffee and cool down from the heat outside.
