I love this place! We stumbled across this little gem after our regular (Bond and Lane) switched baristas and switched us off. We have learnt never to be scared of a crowded house here, if you make yourself known, the wait isn't too long and you're at a table before you can say 'awkward wait.' Food is lovely and they listen to any little problem you might have (cold toast was whisked away and replaced with hot stuff in minutes). Take away coffee is fab and fast, they know what they're doing, you can trust them with your fancy shmancy coffee order. Pantry on Egmont is a retro delight that I thoroughly recommend.
Lovely spot, they've nailed the vintage look and the space is Cosy without feeling crowded. Perfectly mismatched chairs and vintage crockery decorating the walls paired with very friendly service and a great mix of music makes for a lovely place to be. Coffee was great and arrived quickly (their dirty chai especially was wonderful, great spice balance without just being super sweet) and the food (seasonal and locally sourced) was delicious. It nearly killed me to choose between the avocado smash and the French Toast (with all the trimmings including rosewater syrup). Went with the avocado,(which was fresh and light but plenty filling) but I saw others order the French Toast, and it looked and smelled even better than it sounded on the menu. Have been here several times before, and will be back again.
