Certainly a contender for best coffee in NY. Australian style place. Espresso is served with a glass of sparkling water like good places in Adelaide. Standard espresso is only lightly extracted. They also do the excellent Idido blend (like Rex coffee do).
Appearances can be disceiving. The coffee is much better here than the place looks.
Small corporate looking place but the coffee is pretty good and they serve it in proper crockery.
Serious small place. No chairs. They have two roasts (house and single origin). I had the SO From Kenya. Rather good.
So Australian (a signal of quality when it comes to coffee shops). Anzac biscuits, lamingtons (ok both of these are Kiwi too), Tim Tams. They even do a classic Australian iced coffee, well, theoretically, today they said the couldn’t (no ice cream). Pity about the actual coffee. Burnt rich verson of a Nespresso. No choice of beans/roasts.
A very pleasant surprise. I did not expect to get a decent espresso in downtown Dallas, and certainly not early on Sunday. And not in my hotel! Only one blend of beans (though it changes over time). They have a nice selection of pastries too. And breakfast tacos. Annoyingly the hotel wifi doesn’t reach the coffee shop.
It’s not open on Sunday (nor Saturday I think). Beanhunter is in error.
Still possibly the best espresso in London. The single origin can be supurb (it changes every week). The cakes and pastries are top notch too. Courgette and lemon cake is just the right balance. This is apparently a Spanish chain, though I’ve not ever seen them in Madrid (where it is easy to get poor coffee, and difficult to find good places). I think this is their only shop in London.
This lacks hipster ambiance but it absolutely gets the basics right. Excellent coffee, and coffee beans. Great fresh cakes.

This is a serious coffee shop, they will roast beans on demand. So surprisingly, sadly, my espresso “La Grande Reserve” was ho hum, and my croissant was cold and fatty. I could have had better back at my hotel.

Good little coffee bar. Good food, good coffee. Not ambitious, not a roastery. Small selection. But well done.
Fabulous concept. The whole place is so well designed. Free sparking water on tap. And it has a rabbit hutch! The coffee is good but, in spite of the pretentions, this isn’t a super serious coffee place eg one single blend, same for espresso as for latte.

Fabulous place. Pity the espresso is a bit thick, tarry. Only one blend used for all coffees, I guess this was chosen for lattes. If the coffee were improved (ie to Coffee Island quality) this would be the coolest place in London.
I ordered tea not coffee at this place with fabulous food. Will come back to do proper coffee review.
Excellent choice of espresso blends. Nice pasteries and proper cakes. Serious coffee beans for sale. Ambience is a bit corporate. Don't let that put you off, the coffee is serious. Wifi (password = coffeegrindery)

The expresso blend is designed for milk drinks, lacks fruitiness. If you ask they will serve in a proper (not paper) cup. Small range of interesting food (eg canele from Bordeaux). Cosy seating area in the back. No apple pay or any contactless credit cards. Great music.

Choice of two blends for the espresso. Solid range of cakes (though a lot are pretty similar). This is definitely a serious coffee shop, but in that league it's not outstanding.
