Been past lots of times and never noticed this cafe, had to go by bus and now the bus stops have been moved, and the cafe is nearby. Lovely place, friendly staff, great coffee and good food. I’ll definitely come again

Been popping in here for 15 yrs since it first started as a small cosy cafe. It’s been steadily getting worse. Too many people, too noisy, staff too busy. This visit the coffee was like tasteless hot milk it was so weak. Black tea was good but the muffin was 5/10. Dry and over cooked. Even though I love the view I’m going to look for somewhere else when I drive up that way.

I like to read the paper whilst having coffee and there were no papers available. If you are sensitive or allergic to latex keep away as the are huge bunches of latex balloons hanging with a strong latex smell in the air. Staff were friendly but a bit condescending and even though it was only 10am on a weekday morning and not full, the coffee took 10 minutes to arrive. It was pleasant and drinkable coffee but not outstanding. There was quite a bitter taste and an unpleasant aftertaste.

Unfortunately this cafe has closed. A shame as not too many good cafes on the Peninsula that are not crowded out by visitors from Melbourne. Divot was good as it was just out of main centre and had mostly locals

I have been visiting Bendigo and got a takeaway every day for a week because this cafe was near. The first day the coffee was wonderful but every other day was quite bitter and I didn’t really enjoy it. The venue in an old cottage with a garden is lovely but I found the staff rather standoffish and patronising.

Quite expensive and I didn’t feel it was good value for money. Stopped twice here within a week and both times coffee was very weak and tasted like hot milk. Second time also had a slightly burnt taste. Setting is lovely in an old building with a front verandah. Smashed avo was nice but too much feta and dukka overwhelmed the taste a bit. Eggs and bacon 7/10

We always stop over here when driving from Melb to Adelaide ( which is frequently). The coffee is good with a nice non bitter aftertaste and the food is good too. The surroundings are lovely with lots of interesting things in the cafe shop. Has a lovely little garden to sit in too

One of the best coffees I have had ( and I am fussy) food was home made and very tasty. Blue wrens came and landed on our table looking for crumbs which was wonderful. Well worth having lunch there if you are visiting the caves. Caves tours really worthwhile too.

Beautiful coffee, exactly the right strength for me, creamy and smooth with lovely aftertaste. Also had a very tasty vegetable muffin. My husband had black tea which was just right except it was served in what looked like a small glass urinal. But I suppose that’s the odd bit!

I go to Bendigo on a regular basis and I have never had a bad coffee from the coffee caravan. It is beautifully smooth and creamy and even though there is often a queue the guys are always happy and friendly. If you take your own mug you get $1.00 off and it is only $3.00

I was a bit confused as there are three places with the same address. However this cafe is definitely the only one at 20 High St. Set in a fantastic old produce store there is lots of room and lots of ambience. Coffee was very good, just as I like it smooth and creamy with no bitter aftertaste. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. A lovely place to stop off on a journey

Visiting Lithgow and went here based on Beanhunter score and reviews. We were on the train so didn't arrive until 1.45 and the place was packed. ( even though it was a Tuesday) Unfortunately many of the menu items were off the menu as eaten out. ( I was looking forward to the Ploughmans lunch , but it is obviously a popular choice as none left) same with many of the sandwich/ wrap items. It's obviously the "place to be" in Lithgow. We ended up having a delicious Mexican chicken wrap and ham and cheese toaster with a lovely chutney. Coffee was a perfect latte, smooth, creamy not at all bitter and with a lovely aftertaste. My husbands long black was also very good. Staff were lovely very friendly and efficient. Highly recommended if you visit Lithgow
