I love this place. This to me is what the modern Melbourne coffee scene was founded on; converted warehouse down an obscure laneway, warm lighting, cool tunes, not too noisy, old world charm, perfectly poured coffee.

This is a new venture, that has just been open for one week, and already things are looking great. This cafe is well positioned right next to the big market. The market is currently undergoing a major renovation, so the view is a bit of a mess today, but soon the market will be up and running, and this will be right next door. The coffee setup here is unlike anything I saw in my week in Valletta. An impressive Spirit espresso machine, with a specialty coffee menu. Fantastic coffee.

Fantastic coffee, and a great place to grab a light breakfast. The baristas take the time to measure, and get the coffee done right. The only problem is this place is just a little too good, and you can get caught out with a decent queue. Worth the wait IMHO.

On a major highway, in a small country town, your expectations for good coffee are best kept in check. But I was pleasantly surprised. Very drinkable coffee, and generous servings of food. The raisin toast slices were nearly an inch thick. A welcome break on my travels.

Hidden gem. This unassuming cafe is the real deal, and know about coffee, single origins, smooth house blends etc. They also sell a variety of good coffee making equipment, like Aero-press, hand grinders, pour-overs etc. The cafe itself is small and pokey, with some chilled jazz tunes playing- it's nice to escape the crazy Osaka street scale. I jumped on the metro just to visit and was not disappointed!

Relaxing, quite tunes play as you enjoy your choice of coffee beans, I chose Ethiopian single origin. Easy to find with Google maps, and nice to find another café that does good coffee- which is not the norm in Japan.

With on site roasting, temperature controlled green bean storage, single origin, house blend, pour over, espresso - you have everything I'd expect to see back home in Melbourne, but I'm in Kyoto (which makes this a rare and truly special place). It's also located right near the famous pagoda (Yasaka no To Pagoda (Hokan-ji)).

Awesome food. I had the Croque Monsieur, which seems to becoming more popular in Melbourne at the moment, in fact I ventured to Chez Dré specifically for this dish on the advice of a Swiss/French friend of mine, and I was not disappointed. Coffee-wise my flat white was how it like it (so I'm surprised the Beanhunter rating is not higher), but my wife's long black was not up to her expectations - so maybe that's why the coffee rating is so varied.

Well deserved place in the Beanhunter top cafe list for Melbourne. You know that any place that has six grinders, six group heads, three filter stations, six types of coffee on the filter menu and more, takes their coffee seriously. If you visit, you may want to check out their roasting HQ around the corner, to take it to the next level - Auntie Pegs.

Everything I've come to expect from a café in the Richmond area; Espresso 3121 is tucked away down a lane way, which is a plus in my mind. The other nearby major players like Pillar of Salt, and Top Paddock are super busy, so it's nice to find a bit of respite. The single origin was perfection in a cup - I will be back!

Surprisingly good coffee. This is my first time to Queenscliff town centre, and knowing nothing, beanhunter landed me here, and I was not disappointed. The coffee was prepared, and presented flawlessly. As with many country towns, it's a shame their main street doesn't make use of the nearby scenery - fine if you love the ambiance of parking cars, instead of bayside views.

Spot on friendly service, with great coffee. For me, the tell is whether I order a second coffee - a second was indeed ordered. But the thing that really sets this place apart from many cafes is their menu. At a lot of cafes it's a game of which item on the menu can I live with - but at Merchants, its more a case of, there are so many good dishes to choose from, I'll just have to come back again. Oh, and both sparkling water and still water are served to your table as soon as you're seated - nice touch.

Fantastic adjoining atrium space, with comfy sofas, heaters, and great place to relax on a chilly Sunday afternoon. It's a slower pace here in Hobart, which is fine, but the coffee is pedestrian.

Awesome exposed brick coffee den, with an amazing supporting menu. The fit out and lighting really sets the mood, complemented with tunes at a appropriate level - so you can still have a conversation over that coffee. The coffee is exactly what you expect from a venue like this.

A mark of a good cafe is we order a second coffee - we didn't. Normally you're seated, they take your coffee order, it would arrive in a timely manner, and you would order your meal, and typically you've finished that first coffee before the meal arrives. Giving you a chance to savour the flavor of the bean, without the distraction of food. The coffee order was indeed taken as soon as we were seated (albeit first day for the waitress, she had no specialty knowledge of the coffee on offer), but sadly the coffee arrived shortly after the food arrived. This gives an idea of the slowness of service, and the cafe was less than half full. The coffee was good, hot, and well textured milk on the flat white, the long black had good crema. But as it stands, the BeanHunter rating is way above my assessment of the cafe. If fear some first time reviewers have juked the system.

The owner is an Aussie and it shows, this is the first time I've seen Latté and Flat White on the coffee menu whilst here in Barcelona. A little tranquil haven set back a little from the throng of La Rambla.

Easily the best coffee in Barcelona! Winner of the 2013 Spanish barista award (several years of award trophies proudly displayed). With a choice if espresso, siphon, aero press or cold pour. Only down side is the limited seating.

A great spot for a coffee night-cap. With most of these chocolate bars, the focus is on the chocolate, and oh what chocolate; coffee being the perfect partner.

Being an outsider, it sure is nice to find a place that understand coffee. Thanks BeanHunter. Worth the 25min drive, and open late too on a Sunday - nice. Rich smooth Guatemalan, single origin - perfect in a long black. Five senses house blend very smooth in a perfectly textured flat white.

With six grinders offering a variety of single origin beans, all roasted on site, you immediately know you have walked into a cafe that prides itself on its coffee. The menu is vegetarian, with most offering Gluten Free, or Vegan options - but don't let that fool you into thinking the food will be boring. Of the two dishes we tried, it was amazing!

Cartel Coffee is definitely one to keep an eye on, they have a lot of interesting beans being roasted. Three grinders to choose from in the cafe. Whole beans available for sale. Interesting menu. What's not to like - a welcome coffee oasis in Geelong (absolutely located in the industrial belt).

Following in the footsteps of Oak Room, another excellent café, whose staff are genuinely interested in coffee and food. It's nice to see people having fun behind the espresso machine. Thanks BeanHunter another hidden treasure discovered.

A calm facade disguises a bustling hive of activity. With an almost steampunk decor, the friendly, attentive staff quickly supply the perfect brew. Dark, rich and piping hot!

Perfectly textured milk was a feature of our visit. Unfortunately they were out of single origin today, although the blend made a smooth long black. Worth a return visit to try the siphon varieties. Also not afraid to play the music at a decent volume.

With the sun streaming in through the large windows, Fever playing, this is a surprising find. Coffee is smooth with a hint of Choctaw. Large flat white is 4 shots! Extensive breakfast menu that includes "non egg" options and variety.

The map pin was way out, the cafe is closer to Tutanekai St, and is well worth hunting down. 1153 Pukuatua St. Retro hipster decor, with those laminated 50's tables, pop art hanging on the walls. And the coffee is good too.

Exciting to see such a wide variety of gluten free menu items for breakfast. Open on a Sunday morning, unlike their neighbor. The coffee was fine, I'll leave at that.
