Coffee is quite good but the guy had no idea what a double shot ristretto is, offered us ristretto lattes, gave us something that tastes and looks like a double espresso. Disappointed. Passion fruit melting moment was also okay but didn’t taste at all of passion fruit. Disappointed again.

They don’t do “ristretto” but their espresso is very good. And they were incredibly helpful and tolerant of our questions about their technique and our demands for short coffees. The bakewell raspberry slice was also gorgeous.

Well it’s two years since we were last here and things have changed in the coffee department. Gone is the Oz barista. Gone is the great coffee. Same good service, same god atmosphere but it’s the coffee that made the difference for us so.... disappointing

Nice Portuguese tart. Coffee just okay - we had an extra coffee for today because this place had the right vibe, looked like the coffee would be great, had the right coffee machine.... but no, disappointment. The coffee on today’s sample no better than alright.

Very well organised on a busy Sunday morning. They’d never heard of ristretto but we’re used to that in UK. Food was colourful in the Australian style - smashed avo on toast - and the coffee - “espresso “ was quite good.

It’s all about bikes here and I’m not, but still it’s quite good fun watching hair raising videos of bike escapades. Coffee is good, barista did know what a ristretto is. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had, and I’ve had quite a few.

This is a stunning place to eat. Really hard to get into, especially on weekends. Gorgeous middle eastern food. Specially love the babka and the warm crisp flatbread with za’atar and honey. The coffee is very good.

We’ve managed to have coffee here twice so far - it’s often booked out. The food we’ve had has just been cakes, which are nice, but we come for the coffee which we think is the best in Stokey.

Best coffee we’ve found so far in Wellington and, basically, all the others have had nothing to be ashamed of. It’s a very high standard here in Wellington. Café has a great vibe on a Saturday morning: lots of people, full age range. Service warm and extremely competent. Food was really good too.

We were worried because the wait person did not know the word ristretto - but it’s all good, the coffee was short and flavourful. Food is amazing - fresh and well cooked, way too big a serve. Service very friendly and helpful

Well there must be a different barista here now. My ristretto was mediocre at best. If you love coffee I’d say don’t go out of your way to come here. Also a long wait for food and the sparkling water dispenser just dribbled out still water.

Really really great coffee. Today was my fourth visit so I can say, for my coffee - ristretto - this place is consistently extremely good. Also their steamed muffins are a delicious temptation.

Loved the little coffee cup and the coffee is very good. Food was fine, but disappointed in the passion fruit tart which was muddy rather than clear passion fruit flavour but hey, that’s being really picky and I’m here for the coffee not the tart I shouldn’t be having anyway. It’s a good place, well priced.

We’ve been here before but today I tried espresso of the week and it was the best coffee I’ve had since leaving Australia four weeks ago. Great chocolate cake too.

We were pleased to find this gem quite close to our apartment. We have compiled a list of good coffee places in Paris and this place will certainly now be on it. It’s quite aggressively Australian- there’s even a jar of vegemite - and colourful food including avocado and of course, the reason we were there, Australian style “third wave” coffee. Good coffee, good food, good service.

We’ve been trying to find good coffee on Belle Ile and this is the best we’ve found so far. It’s not the best ristretto or espresso you’ll ever have, but it’s substantially better than any other on the island- I’d say it’s around twice as good as others we’ve tried. Not much in the way of food here - it’s a bar - but the staff are cheerful and helpful. If you like ristretto as we do, ask for a “cafe serré, Italienne”.
