coffeejourneyman reviewed The Pool Cafe
This cafe has a pleasant ambience with a variety of seating options and is well patronized. Staff are efficient and coffee is what you would expect from that Allpress/La M duo. Nice change from Perigian Beach where finding a table is a struggle!
coffeejourneyman reviewed Cafe Tara
Most cafes were closed Easter Sunday out this way so faced with the choice of Tara Cafe or Bakers Delight I chose the former. Coffee is by way of a Merlo/Wega combo but both baristas had not heard of the word ristretto so just ordered a flat white which came out too milky for mine.
coffeejourneyman reviewed The Market Place
Market Place is always a pleasant stop-over when travelling through the GC. Well patronised by friendly locals I usually enjoy the coffee, but large F/W with NO presentation was a disappointment. It may have been a busy period but no reason to cut corners.
This cafe is well set-up with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. It is well patronised too and a good variety of food options for any time of day. Staff are cheerful and very obliging while the barista produces a coffee (Campos) the equal of any to be had in this region of the Sunshine Coast.
coffeejourneyman reviewed Cock & Hen
This cafe has rejuvenated the little shopping centre at Twin Waters over the last year or so. Well laid out and with a very good kitchen I want to give an overall score of 9 but the coffee can be inconsistent. Keeping their A Team on the machine as often as possible would rectify this.
coffeejourneyman reviewed Hand of Fatima
A well crafted coffee from that Allpress/La M duo. Full bodied, smooth and flavoursome. Don't often give a 10 for any of the rating criteria but a 10 here for service. The guy attending us could not have been more helpful to our group.
Gone! Moved around the corner to the Zephyr Bar in Brisbane Rd.
The Red Shed Espresso Bar

Thanks for checking us out, yes we have moved due to the area being developed. We had no choice in that. All of our baristas and coffee machine with the same coffee beans migrated across. Hopefully you have had a chance to try it out at the Zephyr Bar by Red Shed Espresso. Thanks.
My F/W in a smallish cup (130ml) packed plenty of flavour, full-bodied, higher than average acidity (tang) and outstanding finish. My definition of finish, by the way, is that buzz of optimism you get in the half hour after you leave the cafe..doesn't happen as often as I'd like these days!
