Cold brew was quite nice, although they could have used a lighter roast or potentially not made it as strong as they did. Disappointed that there was no filter. All in all a good vibe and they seem to know why they are doing.

Batch brew is very drinkable in this place. It appears they feature a lot of different beans from different roasters throughout the year. Service is quick. It is a great spot to sit and have a coffee. 10 seconds off the highway, makes it easy to justify stopping for a break.

Have been here twice now for a batch brew and it’s been okay without being great. Happy to keep going there. but it is not a go out of my way cafe. The service though is second to none. Even when you are getting a takeaway they still can’t do enough for you (in there eyes)

“ do you guys do filter coffee” reply “what’s that” okay “ do you guys have cold brew. They do and present me a bottle 😬 ordered a long black for my friend as well. After waiting ten minutes for it to be a drinkable temp. Heavy oil like slick sitting on top and it was bitter at best. Very disappointing

Certainly not a 9.1 store. Limited selection. Basically only coffee they offer is espresso shot and milk off the machine. Long black was so hot I couldn’t hold my cup. When it cooled down was way to strong and an over powering dark flavour. Won’t be rushing back.

My go to place whenever I visit Melbourne. It is a tradition to start my Melbourne holiday with a visit to this place. Long black or filter, both are superb. Be warned though you may have to get takeaway as there is not much seating and generally will always have a crowd

This would be probably one of the best coffee places I have been to in Melbourne, great vibe., plenty of seating and their filter is always top shelf So smooth and easy to drink, but one of the few places with differing tasting notes each time

Always happy when I visit these guys. Filter was again a great success. Coffee was a soft taste with plenty of notes to it. If you are visiting Melbourne this place is a must

Filter was poor, very bland with a strong bitter taste afterwards. Apart from the bitter taste there was very little tasting note to enjoy at all For the first time ever in Melbourne I could not finish the coffee

Very poor this place does not deserve this rating Long black was bitter and scolding hot, when I asked if they had filter left, staff looked at me then after a few seconds said oh wait no sorry no cold brew Place meant to close at 2.30 we get there at 2 and told only takeaways

The filter coffee is exceptional and can not fault there range of coffee varieties. Coming from Sydney I love that you can’t park right in front every time 😜 (probably not a value the locals will see 😁)

Coffee was okay, drinkable but would rush back for the long black. Never really been a fan of double roasters beans though. Which is a shame as I had high hopes for lane cove to finally get decent coffee too. Food was average-raisin toast was more cake loaf than toast which was just misleading. Fitout is really nice and staff seem nice. Will give it another try next week but no impressed at first try.

This is my first ever ten. But I have been coming to this place religiously now for the last two years. So much of what I know about coffee I have learnt from Toby and Michaèl. There is always a great vibe at this place and on a sunny day there is not to many places that rival it. Located right next to Artarmon train station. It has outdoor seating catering for 26, so very rarely is the wait for a table that long. You won't be disappointed. Both the coffee and food never disappoint. But the pièce de rèsistance is definitely the different tunes they play each day on the decks.
