I decided to give this café a try based on the positive reviews. Alas, my large almond milk cappuccino ($4, they don’t charge extra for almond milk) was underwhelming. The coffee itself was OK, but nothing made it particularly distinguishing or memorable. However they managed to hit both my pet coffee peeve – my coffee was only warm, not the extra-hot that I asked for, and they also didn’t fill up my KeepCup. Won’t be back again. The café serves their own coffee blend - a mix of Kenyan, Ethiopian and Colombian beans. My large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50; option available for upsize to an extra-large for an extra $0.50) had an interesting brightness and crispness to it. A citrus overtone reminiscence of blood orange and tangerine but without the sourness or bitterness. While my personal preference is for a more robust chocolatey-nutty-earthy coffee profile, this was still highly enjoyable and a nice change from my usual. My cappuccino could have been hotter, as I did ask for it to be extra hot (twice). Coffee: 8 Service: 8 Atmosphere: 7

Despite the underwhelming visit earlier in the year, I decided to give the café another try as they made the effort to respond to my review (kudos to the team for excellent customer experience management!). Plus recent reviews mentioned they’ve changed their beans from Single O to Zest Roasters and I was curious. My large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) was made with Zest’s single origin Nicaragua. If I slightly disappointing with my first visit, then this visit certainty made up for it :). Smooth and aromatic, my coffee had a nice balance of intensity and complexity. Alas, I was too focused on catching up with a friend and didn’t pay as much attention as I should to the intricacy of the flavour profile. But it was definitely delicious and oh so easy to drink. Kudos for ensuring it was extra hot, just the way I like it. Coffee: 9 Service: 8 Atmosphere: 8

Been here a few times and unfortunately the quality of their coffee can range from good to very average. Serving Gabriel Beans, my large almond milk cappuccino cost $4.30 ($0.20 discount for BYO cup, but you have to remind the cashier otherwise they just "conveniently" forget to give you the discount, even though the sign is displayed right at the pay register). Not a favourite, but not a cafe on my blacklist either. #Kogarah #CoffeeAdventure #CultureBean #GabrielBeansCoffee #AlmondMilkCappuccino --- Coffee: 7 Service: 6 Atmosphere: 6

Quaint little suburbian cafe serving Di Bella coffee. While not a favourite coffee brand, my large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) was reasonable. Not as hot as I would have liked, and I felt like my coffee could do with another shot. But the friendly customer service and atmosphere made the overall experience quite lovely. #CarltonNSW #CoffeeAdventure #SweetMarieCaf e#DiBellaCoffee #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Large almond milk cappuccino cost me $5, which is on the expensive side for the area. However, it was a brilliant execution of the Espresso di Manfredi - Classico blend. Smooth, aromatic, with a nice intensity and a delicious undertones of chocolate and ripe fruit. Bonus for ensuring my coffee was extra hot, with extra chocolate sprinkles on top, just the way I like it! Large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) from their house blend - St. Ali Orthodox. While nice, my coffee was lukewarm and I specifically asked for it to be extra hot (with extra chocolate sprinkles on top. That didn't happen either, but I was more annoyed about the temperature of my coffee). I know everyone has their own preference for their coffee, but when a customer ask for it to be extra hot, twice... guys, they want it extra hot. #Wynyard #CoffeeAdventure #NookFreshBar #StAliOrthodoxBlend #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Had my large almond milk cappuccino made with their featured single origin - El Salvador. A mid-roast with a smooth and creamy mouth-feel. Aroma a mixture of burnt figs and cacao, finishing with a nice crispness. Extra kudos for my always making my coffee "extra hot with extra chocolate sprinkles on top", just how I like it. #Hurstville #18GramsCoffeeProject #SingleOriginBean #ElSalvador #AlmondMilkCappuccino

WORSE. COFFEE. EVER!!! Think of all the way you can scr*w up an almond milk cappuccino, and you have my coffee experience. It was watery, bitter and lukewarm, yet they somehow managed to cause the almond milk to split so it was grainy. To add insult to injury, it was expensive compared to the average price of a large almond milk cappuccino, even taking into consideration the location. Positively criminal what they've done to the quality beans from Salvador Coffee Roaster. If I wasn't in a hurry I would have asked for my money back. P.S. Tried to give this a score of zero (0), Beanhunter won't let me :( #Bronte #WorseCoffeeEver #BogeyHoleCafe #DontGoThere #WantMoneyBack #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Its always a treat to grab a coffee from the original Single O cafe :). My large almond milk cappuccino ($5) made with their signature Reservoir blend was as delicious as I've remembered. Beautiful aroma and complexity; a delicious smoothness that lingers, ending with a well-balanced finish. Next time I have to ask for my cappuccino to be made from one of their featured single origin beans. #SurryHills #CoffeeAdventure #SingleOSurryHills #ReservoirBlend #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Taking advantage of a Hey You $2 coffee promotion, I decided to give this place a try. The cafe rated favourably on Google reviews, but I decided to keep my expectations neutral to avoid disappointment. Love it when I'm proven wrong in the most delicious way, because my almond milk cappuccino was FANTASTIC! The barista that served me was friendly and knowledgeable, and was happy to talk to me about their beans. They use a custom-blend roasted by Panorama Coffee Roasters; a mixture of PNG, Mexican, Ethiopian and Brazil. Solid intensity with an elusive complexity, finishing with a bright crispness without being astringent. Would have been happy to pay full price for this excellent coffee, but at $2, it's a total bargain and brilliant way to start the working week. #Sydney #CoffeeAdventure #RealPeas #CustomBlend #PanormaCoffeeRoasters #AlmondMilkCappuccino

I had a craving for a Toby's Estate coffee this morning. A friend told me the new baristas at The Precinct by Toby's Estate are doing the beans justice, so decided to give this cafe another try. Oh fellow coffee lovers...my faith in Toby's Estate has been restored, or at least, in their hiring of talented baristas!!! My large almond milk cappuccino was extra hot and frothed to perfection. The coffee was a single origin; La Union - Colombia. While on the mellow side, it had a lovely aroma and luxurious mouth feel. I would happily drink this all day. #Barangaroo #CoffeeAdventure #ThePrecinctByTobysEstate #SingleOriginBean #LaUnionColombia #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Decided to go cafe exploring and picked this cafe for Sunday brekkie with a friend. My large almond milk cappuccino while good, lacked that *something* to make it interesting or memorable. The service though, was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, and I could see why it is popular with local families. My friend definitely enjoyed his breakfast muesli and flat white ("hold the bananas please"). #Penhurst #CoffeeAdventure #ShortBlackEspressoBar #AlmondMilkCappuccino

A new addition to Kogarah and serving their own custom blend. For something different I had a large macadamia mylk cappuccino instead of my usual almond (an extra $1 for macadamia mylk, bringing my coffee to $5). Strong aroma of caramelised figs and butterscotch, with the macadamia mylk giving it a nutty overtone and upping the creaminess. Very easy to drink, though not enough of the "coffee" aroma and flavour. Tasted more like a caramel cappuccino, than coffee. While enjoyable, it did leave me craving for a "real coffee"...whatever that means 😕. Will have to try it again with almond mylk to see if that makes a difference. #Kogarah #CoffeeAdventure #PlatformOneEspresso #CustomBlendedCoffee #MacadamiaMylkCappuccino

My large almond milk cappuccino cost $4.50 (with KeepCup). The cafe serves Toby's Estate. Sadly, it was a poor rendition of the well known beans 😯. The coffee lacked the usual flavour, aroma and body of the Toby's Estate blend. Shame... #Penhurst #CoffeeAdventure #Cafe41onPenhurst #TobysEstate #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Today's single origin is Tanzania. Charming flavour with a gentle complexity. A clean crisp finish without being too dry. For once it didn't taste weak (like I needed another shot to appreciate the flavour). Not sure if this is because a different barista made the coffee, or because its a different single origin bean. Either way, a wonderful way to kick start a gloomy cloudy dazzlingly Thursday. #Wynyard #WynyardCoffeeAdventure #EspressoForte #SalvatorCoffeeRoasters #SingleOriginBean #Tanzania #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Today's single origin is Nicaragua. This is one of my favourite beans so I was super-excited when the barista told me. While the aroma was lovely, I could barely taste the coffee's flavour. Not sure if the almond milk over-powered the beans, or the lack was from the actual extraction process. I must admit I'm a tad disappointed. I prefer my coffee stronger, and I've noticed Espresso Forte's coffee tends to be in the more on the weak-moderate range. Maybe if I've had it with an extra shot... #Wynyard #WynyardCoffeeAdventure #EspressoForte #SalvatorCoffeeRoasters #SingleOriginBean #Nicaragua #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Today's single origin is the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Baroida Estate. I don't recall ever having a PNG coffee before, so was excited to try something new. Definitely different. More towards the robust side, but lacked the aromatic quality of say the Colombian or Kenyan. A very interesting finish though. High acidity (i.e., dry, bright, and sparkling sensation) yet with a syrupy mouthfeel. While not a favourite, the uniqueness makes it a worthwhile experience to have. #CamposBarangaroo #CoffeeAdventure #PNGBaroidaEstate #SingleOriginBean #AlmondMilkCappuccino

This used to be my favourite Campos coffee place in Hurstville. But the quality has gone downhill in the last 6 months. My almond cappuccino the last few times were watery and weak. I think I will stick to 18 Grams from now on :( Such a shame...

Taking advantage of today's Hey You coffee promotion, I decided to try their decaf. Its probably the nicest decaf almond milk cappuccino I've tasted in recent time. Most decaf lacks that intoxicating "coffee" aroma and flavour, but this one was surprising good, on par with a quality mild coffee blend. Definitely will keep this in mind for when I next want an afternoon coffee but not the caffeine. #Wynyard #WynyardCoffeeAdventure #EspressoForte #SalvatorCoffeeRoasters #Decaf #AlmondMilkCappuccino

"Never judge a book by its cover" is a never more apt for this unassuming coffee cart located above Wynyard station, near the Barangaroo exit. Having walked past this coffee cart a few times in my coffee exploration, I was curious and added it to my "must try" list after seeing the positive reviews online. They serve Salvator Coffee Roasters beans and offer a rotation of single origins at no extra charge!!!. My large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) was delicious - velvety and a lovely mellow flavour, almost like a hot coffee shake. While my personal preference is for something more robust, the Salvator blend is ideal for those who like their coffee gentler, or in my case, a perfect late afternoon/evening treat. #Wynyard #WynyardCoffeeAdventure #EspressoForte #SalvatorCoffeeRoasters #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Discovered this hidden gem back in December last year. They serve SINGLE O Roasters coffee. My large soy milk cappuccino ($4.50 for soy, almond milk would have cost me $5) was smooth and lovely and left me wanting more. Seriously, my coffee was gone in less than 5mins. The only complaint was I asked for it extra hot, and it was warm at best. Next time I will stress the extra hot again. #TheUsualCafe #SoyCappuccino #SingleOBeans

Visited in December 2017 after reading the good reviews on Google. My large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) was smooth, mellow with a lovely caramel aftertaste. Not as hot as I would have prefer, but apart from that it was a wonderful coffee experience and would definitely go back again. #ChatswoodCoffee #ApothecaryCoffee #AlmondCappuccino

Been here twice, and both times my almond cappuccino was a tad average. Their house bend seems to be a darker roast, which I don't mind, but there was too much lingering bitterness for my liking. Considering the location, there are much better coffees to be found elsewhere in Barangaroo. #DevonCafeBarangaroo #AlmondCappuccino

Located away from the main junction area on Maroubra Road (entrance facing Garden St), the cafe was a little hard to find, but I remembered it had really good reviews so made the effort to search for it. And what a find! My large almond milk cappuccino ($4.50) was from Single O Roasters beans, one of my favourite roastery. It was smooth, aromatic, full-bodied with a wonderful finish. Nice and hot, just the way I prefer, with decent amount of chocolate sprinkles on top. Definitely my favourite coffee so far from that area! #Maroubra #TailorEspressoBar #SingleORoastersBeans #AlmondMilkCappuccino

Been here a few times and they consistently do a good coffee. They are open 7 days a week, even during public holidays when other cafes are close! A haven for those desperate for a good cup of coffee on a lazy day. A large almond milk cappuccino cost $4.50. My request for "extra hot with extra chocolate sprinkles on top" are always met. Plus they give you these yummy bite size cookies for free with your coffee. This is where I go for coffee in Hurstville if my preferred Campos place isn't open.

Came across this café in one of my Google searches and was impressed with the fantastic reviews. My large almond milk cappuccino cost $4.00 ($0.50 discount for bringing my own keep cup!!! Yeay!). The beans are from The Little Marionette roaster - the Sanchez blend. Robust with a good depth in flavour, it had a nice finish that was neither too crisp or dry. But what really made an impression was the excellent customer service I received. Chris, the co-owner and barista, actually made a conscious effort to ensure my almond milk was well heated, and even asked if it was hot enough to my liking. The “extra chocolate on top” was really “extra chocolate on top”, and not a token additional shake of the shaker. This little hidden gem totally deserves the rave reviews it's been receiving. Definitely will make the effort to go back and try one of the single origin beans on offer. #Rockdale #RockdaleCoffeeAdventure #TheAngryGnomeEspressoBar #TheLittleMarionette #AlmondCappuccino #ThisIsWhatExcellentCustomerServiceLooksLike

Visited on Easter Friday for breakfast and Coffee. I had high expectations based on the fantastic reviews, but found the whole experience disappointing (....I won't include the breakfast review here as this is all about the coffee). I ordered my usual large almond milk cappuccino, extra hot with extra chocolate sprinkles on top ($4.50). My coffee was good, definitely above average, but there was nothing unique or particularly special to grab my attention. Not sure if this is because I had an excellent coffee prior from a different cafe and it skew my palate. Ok’ish in its attempt to be extra hot, but they hit my pet peeve by only filling up my keep cup ¾ full. Might give it another try when I haven’t already had a coffee.

Today's almond milk cappuccino was made with the Kenya Barichu Gaturiri AA - a special Campos Easter release. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what popped into mind upon taking that first sip was “tall, dark and broody”. Strong and earthy, leaning towards the bitter end of the scale (though not actually bitter), with a nice crisp finish. A slight sour after taste, though that didn’t occur until a good while after. Not a bean I think everyone would like, but for those who enjoy their coffee with some character and oomph, this is an interesting bean to try. #CamposBarangaroo #CoffeeAdventure # KenyaBarichuGatuririAA #AlmondMilkCappuccino
