Albeany reviewed Solomon Merchants
Serious contender for best local coffee, even though really only a take-away option. Garth takes his coffee very seriously, maintains his machine well and remembers what you order. Great organic hot chocolates as well. Much better coffee than the previous owner.
Albeany reviewed 14 Peels Place
While not a lot of thought has gone into the name of the cafe, don't let this fool you. Coffees are really well made and presented, and quite possibly the cheapest in Albany. Still not quite sure about West Cape Howe roast yet- a but too acidic for my liking and not a lot of depth. Prompt and friendly service, and food menu looked good .
Albeany reviewed Emu Point Cafe
Perfect place for a weekend brekky on a Summer day - and don't people know it! The place was heaving, and a long wait for food, but the staff were up-front about it. Menu had some welcome variations to standard fare. Coffees came quick. Service friendly and professional. First coffee was great, second less so, but same barista! Consistency may be an issue here. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor tables. Will go back to try coffees again when it isn't peak hour
Albeany reviewed Brunetti Carlton
The price of having a reputation- you have to live up to it. Impressive looking on entry, but a crowded, noisy barn. Service at the bar with no eye contact. Maybe I didn't look beautiful enough. The espresso was pretty good, but hard to juggle when I couldn't find a seat.
Albeany reviewed Vancouver Cafe and Store
Some of the best (and most consistent) coffee in Albany, combined with fantastic fresh food and a chilled atmosphere. The Vancouver is all about celebrating local. Locally grown produce, locally roasted coffee, and local art adorning the walls. Great for breakfast and lunch. Child friendly, and two smaller rooms good for private functions.
Albeany reviewed Black Cockatoo
The Black Cockatoo opened in 2009, and makes a great modern alternative to rhe standard small country town 'Tea room' or heaven forbid, a roadhouse coffee. Based at the Kojonup Visitors centre, but frequented by locals and those passing through from Perth to Albany. The food looks good- fresh and enticing. Friendly service, and most importantly, a good coffee. Expect to wait for a bit if you go at lunchtime.
Albeany reviewed Four Birds
This was my favourite cafe in Darwin as far as atmosphere goes, and a good array of lunch items. Really friendly staff too. The coffee unfortunately wasn't the best - well made, but an uninspiring coffee bean blend with not a lot of depth of flavour or character.
