This is a hard one to review... there is a lot I like and also things that drive me nuts. 1. The coffee is good. They use Clandistino beans and judging from what I have seen every time I have been, they must be a medium to high account. 2. Atmosphere here for the cafe is also not bad. There is a nice vibe generally going on with lots of locals (especially bike riders in the morning) always about having a chat and a laugh. 3. They are SLOW. I have seen a lot of cafes, including having owned them, and this is one of the slowest that I have experienced. 4. Attitude here sucks. Very much what I call “baristatude”, where there is a “we are too cool for school” sort of vibe. All told, if you are in Noosa / Tewantin looking for coffee, I would place these folks about 6 on the list. While the coffee is reasonable (and I should also note they provide a little bikkie, which is another point in their favour), the attitude from the baristas makes me want to go elsewhere

A nice solid coffee from another Seven Seeds outlet. They were using the seasonal blend which at the time I tried it was a little darker than normal. Good for take out, but not to sit in as there is very little space

Ok, I came in here as the takeaway food looked good and decided to have a coffee.... what a disappointment! It was a weak insipid blend that was served at the he temp of bathwater, despite making a specific request for “please make it hot”.

Great coffee on the Sunny coast... definitely my fave so far (compared to Clandestino or Padre). They rotate the blend often so you don’t get bored and most blends are a 2 or 3 bean mix Can be a bit hard to get a table on a Sunday morning, but worth the wait

What a sweet little spot and different to any inner city hipster joint. It’s open first thing in the morning and the powder coated grinders are gleaming and ready for business. The coffee is a SO from Vanuatu that has a lovely sweetness and leaves a strong pleasant aftertaste. Perfect before a morning hit or surf. Make sure you get Batesy to teach you his kick serve.

I like heaps about this place and find Tony, the barista enormously passionate and knowledgeable about his coffee. The coffee is a 4 bean blend from Dukes which truthfully I find a little light with milk (I take a 6 oz cup as a result), but I think the sweet notes would come out beautifully in a long black or ristretto Definitely worth a try as this place is always improving and making an effort to be better, something you don’t see often enough

What a find. We were walking past and found this chance. The doughnuts were what dragged us in, but the coffee is what will bring me back. The cafe uses sensory labs blend which I find just a little light for my taste, but the barista took that into account and made me a 3/4 to compensate. The coffee was slightly nutty with caramel overtones and left a wonderful after flavour in the mouth. I was super impressed with the service and friendly advice for things to do in Hobart. Definitely be back.

While the atmosphere, food and ambience are great, the coffee here was disappointing. It was luke warm at best, like you had left it on your table, forgot about it and just found it again. The flavour was underwhelming due to the very light roast. I'm sure it would have been better black or maybe as a ristretto, but it didn't cut through the milk on a latte. Lastly, the cheese and tomato toasty had only one slice of cheese which was not enough for the thickness of the bread

Great find in FNQ. This quality coffee would not be out of place in any city in Aus. It's a great strong blend (much stronger than anything from Melbourne, but on par with Campos or Single Origin). It's a 4 bean blend using Honduras, Nicaragua, PNG and somewhere else(can't remember:-), that is a little bit bitter on the pallet, but leaves a perfect aftertaste. It's worth noting also that the milk - Jersey!! Was textured perfectly. The only place they lost points was the price $4.50... Ouch, but that seems to be the going rate up here & on the granny cutlery, but otherwise damn near perfect.

This place looks the bomb....I absolutely loved the fit out and ambiance, so was doubly dissapointed by how ordinary my coffee was... I had the Colombian which is currently being rotated through and felt it was lacked any sort of depth. I would have had the Seven Seeds blend, but that looked pretty weak (they tell me they are going for a "Light Roast" profile....I will probably give it another try if I am in the area when they have different coffees on trial

Really nice to find such a dark strong roast in Melbourne. Strong favours from the Ethiopian push their way through the blend and give the coffee a really strong finish. The service was excellent and the vibe was great. They don't have a huge food selection, but what they had looked good.

I don't get this place at all... The coffee was average, it is a hole in the wall with no real atmosphere (actually I gave it 4.8 as it is standing and takeaway only, so I don't see how I can compare it to a cafe like proud Mary's or the auction rooms which have this hip ambiance going on)

What a nice little find. The service was excellent, the place had a really nice vibe and the coffee was solid. They use a Proud Mary blend and really take care to do it justice. I should have taken some pictures (maybe next time) as it was all really nice... I'll be back

After an disappointing trip to Aunt Pegs ( I am not writing a review on their page) which would be good for a cupping, but not for a cafe experience, I am back at one of my Fav's in Melbourne

I was surprised that no one had added this cafe a long time ago. It is pretty iconic in the area and is famous for its great bakery and sourdough bread. This was the first time I have been through in a while and I was not disappointed. They use a house blend (not sure what), that was strong, not too bitter and well rounded. My 3/4 latte was well textured and had a great aftertaste. The service was prompt and friendly and the bakery products looked very tempting (although I am on a bit of a diet and was trying to be strong). I will definitely be back!

Popped in here for a meeting with a friend and was not expecting much, I was very pleasantly surprised. The coffee was balanced and strong, the milk was well textured and the service was great, even though the place was packed. This would definitely be a better choice than the places inside the foyer.

I enjoy places like this. Old Italian coffee houses that roast in house. The coffee reminds me of my youth. The blend is not as sophisticated as a lot of the more modern roasters and the decor is not as "grunge" (it probably won't appeal to the hipster crowd), but it has a real authenticity that I like.

What a great addition to the Allpress family. They have a nice little 2 group La Marzocco Linear producing great coffee from within thier roastery. Its has a great vibe, its in a great location and its great coffee...it has it all going for it (my only issue is that I find the milk in Japan a little sweet, but that's only minor). One of the best in Japan in my opinion

When Campos beans are done well, like at the flagship store in Newtown or Don Camos, then they are one of my favourite blends in Sydney, however all too often, the accounts that they sell to do not do justice to the blend. The wolf and honeybee are one of the few who really seem to know what they are doing. The coffee was just right in every aspect. You could really taste the flavour profile, the extraction was spot on, the milk was perfectly textured and the service was great! I'll be back next time in area😄

I can never understand why a barista can't take an order when there is no one else about. It reeks of this whole barista "holier than thou" attitude. Don't they understand the meaning behind the word hospitality ?? The coffee (campos) was fine, but I won't be back

First time here, although I must have passed by a million times. I'm glad I stopped, the coffee was solid while the service was excellent. I'm not that big a fan of the Allpress bean, I find it lacking in punch, however, I think these guys are getting as much as they can out of the extraction.

This place is a classis. It is old school, but rock solid. The specialise mostly in machines, but have been roasting long before the word hipster was coined....one of my favs in the area. The only drawback is it can be a bit hard to park on Parramatta Rd...

First off, I have to say that I am surprised that no other Beanhunters have given this place a review since my last comment 7 months ago....wow....this place is normally heaving, I would have thought someone would have something else to add.... OK, since my last visit, they have added a beautiful looking 3 group La Marzocco (not sure which model) which really fits in with the whole artisan French Patisserie vibe going on. The coffee that is used in Double Roasters, which I always find to be a fairly strong blend. This was no different. It was coming out a little fast, but not that much that it affected the coffee which was nicely rounded and had a great aftertaste. When you add that to what I think is some of the best bread and pastry in Sydney ( I just noticed that I wrote that last time as well...at least I'm consistent :-), this place is definitely worth a visit.

A nice find. The first thing you notice are the powder coated Slayers and grinders (nice touch) and the fact that's it's nice to see an inner city cool cafe not trying for industrial grunge... The in house blend is a testimonial to his daughter (daddy's little girl) which is nice. It was a bit mild for my liking, but still produced a nice flavour through the palate. I also has the Columbian rotation which was a bit stronger but like most S.O was not as well rounded.

When a place is this good, any criticism is nitpicking, but here goes....:-) My latte, while robust and with near perfect crema was not hot enough for my liking. I don't think that is a proud Mary issue, but a general observation of coffee in Melbourne. The coffee itself was excellent. You could really taste the floral overtones from the beans, even over the milk. It left a beautiful almost tobacco like taste on the palate after it was finished... Hard to fault! The food was indulgent and the service welcoming . The place itself (like always) was buzzing. This place is a gold standard, I just wish their coffee was a little hotter...

Its definitely hard being right next door to Campos, but it does help to have some of the best bread in Sydney. If this was only judged on coffee, the Luxe falls a bit short, but when you factor in that is actually a great cafe with excellent produce then it rates quite well. Like coffee, all banana breads are not equal, and Luxes is awesome. Worth a go, you wont be dissapointed

Consistently the best coffee in Sydney. The thing that I always struggle with is why the coffee here is so much better than any of their accounts. Someone told me once that they rest their own beans after roasting while they send it out bagged to accounts almost instantly (the beans release a gas after roasting that infuses the beans in the bag, changing the flavour profile).....whatever the reason, this is the gold standard ! My only issue is how long it takes, buts because there is always a queue.
