nestled up a creaky wooden staircase in a heritage building the place oozed a rustic charm, we sat on the balcony overlooking the mall and treetops. Our coffees were well crafted and cut through the milk nicely, my wife enjoyed a bagel with cream cheese and my blueberry and white choc muffin hit the mark nicely. A most enjoyable visit...................

hidden down one of Fremantle's rustic streets Studio 37 in nestled in an old warehouse with a framework of exposed jarrah planking and ceiling beams, this space hosts art exhibitions during the year. My Colombian long black from the La Marzocco hit the mark with pleasant acidity, choc and fruit with nice body, my wife had a freshly blend orange juice that put a smile on her face. Great space run by passionate crew--well worth the visit.

on the recommendation of a friend we visited Mrs S for lunch today and it was well worth the journey! My short mach was well presented with good flavour and temperature. My wife had the soup of the day, tasty pumpkin and carmelised onion with crusty bread, my pulled pork Manwich lived up to its name, super tasty and very filling. The only downer was the noise, loved the atmosphere and the novel menus. The cakes looked pretty tempting but could not find room for them, maybe next time..........

We visited Tarts for lunch yesterday and were not disappointed, I love all the nooks and crannies where people tuck themselves away at this space. We were able to book a table and on arrival were seated and given water and menus to peruse. Our order was taken promptly and courteously, my chicken panini was delicious, my daughters chicken salad went down a treat and my wife loved her eggs benedict.

Finally made it to the Maling Room on this visit to Melbourne and it was well worth the train journey from the city. I loved the historic post office setting and quaint streetscape outside. On arrival the staff were attentive and friendly and had me seated with water on table immediately. I ordered a V60 of the Ethiopian Nekisse from Ninety Plus--creamy viscous jammy berry notes, complex with layers of citrus and fruity flavours, a most enjoyable brew. So glad I made the effort to visit this much lauded Melbourne icon.

Subiaco has some serious specialty coffee at last, Ron and Lyly have outdone themselves with this vibrant new cafe, it has a cosy comfortable ambiance with stunning murals and lighting. An LM Linea and Roburs pumping out the espresso, a dedicated brewbar with Perth's first Steam Punk to cater for lovers of a more refined brew. Loved this place the moment I set foot in the door, check it out you won't be disappointed.
