Ground up is easily the best coffee in Toowoomba and now with the change to Blackboard, it’s even better. Fantastic atmosphere and service.
Having come here for 4 years straight since the start, Ground Up never lets me down. Believe me, it’s the place you want for your hidden (although it’s not really a secret anymore) coffee fix or to impress your city visitors. The baristas take their coffee seriously and it’s reliable every time. My last review was 3 years ago and it’s still a keeper. Need to know: can be busy on the weekends. Food: grab a toasted chorizo croissant if you’re lucky. It’s an old favourite from their old counter menu.
I travel through Toowoomba frequently and always plan a stop at Ground Up. It is a highlight of my trip. Excellent coffee and always consistent, a rival to any of the best in Brisbane.
Neat little cafe. Had my usual strong flat white which was a touch hot, but otherwise full of flavour. They had an Ethiopian single origin on offer which would have been nice to try.
Definitely worth a visit; particularly great since the recent change of ownership
Delicious coffee... will be back
Specialty coffee and Swiss chocolates, beans to take home and a whole lotta crazzzzy😁
Sensational coffee and GREAT conversation.
Lovely chatty baristas and excellent coffee
A unique little coffee shop that is full of interesting bits and pieces. Delightful barista who runs place on own it seems. Not sure how she does it? Lovely coffee comes out in homely mugs. At $5 a drink it would not be a place I would come regularly but it will remain on my coffee circuit.
Specializing in Black Coffee
This place provides for me some of the best coffee in Toowoomba. Lovely staff. No inside seating but plenty outside, which makes it challenging in winter if you are not a take away type person. As it is attached to Bunkers records this means you can peruse the vinyls as you wait for coffee
