I decided to try some coffee in Drummoyne, and going by the Beanhunter scores with more than a handfull of reviews, decided to give Mocha'ry a go. It was quiet when I arrived so it was no surprise that my flat white was made swiftly. There was a little too much foam for me but not a deal breaker. Temperature was good and the coffee managed to cut through the milk. Milk was a little on the thin side but still sweet.
Found this little gem by accident, and am glad I did! Although the place is a little smaller than most cafe's, I was able to find a seat on one of their rustic looking tables. The staff here seemed very friendly and attentive, with quick and easy service. The coffee was fantastic. I grabbed a flat white, and enjoyed every last drop. The coffee was very smooth, not acidic and not burnt. I decided to grab one of their apple and rhubarb muffins too. The muffin had big chunks of fruit, the apple still green. It tasted very fresh, not dry and flavourless like others. All round great place.
Had a takeaway coffee from here last week. Was pleasantly surprised, coffee was a lot better than my previous experience. It still worries me the number of 9 and 10 ratings for Mocha'ry made by people with only 1 review though. The atmosphere was good. Would be better if they had outdoor seating but according to the staff, they aren't allowed due the bus stop out front which is unfortunate. The service was very good as always.
Fantastic little espresso bar! The interior rustic feel creates a warm and pleasant environment. Along with a cosy feel, the coffee is exceptional to say the least! I'm either a flat white or double mac fan myself and the boys there have got it worked out to a tee. They take great care in ensuring every coffee is made with passion and presentation is just at the forefront of their minds as is the flavour of the coffee you consume. Great baristas, great customer service and sublime coffee is worth making the trek across Sydney if you want a great coffee experience.
