We thoroughly enjoyed our daily coffees here (magics) after trying two other BH rated cafes. After seeing they had tulip cups I asked if they could do ristretto pours and the barista acknowledged she could. The first one was good but I asked for subsequent ones to be stronger, and despite different baristas on different days, the coffees were to our liking. On the second day when I appeared the barista asked "your usual?". Wow. One time the milk was too hot so I asked if it could be a bit cooler for the next drink. Out it came, perfect. The waitstaff are young, enthusiastic and attentive, with plenty of smiles, making the many times we spent there all the more pleasant. Pretty sure this will be the only place we stop for coffee when we return to Queenstown in the future, the other cafes we tried don't come remotely close.
Reviews of Halo
LOVED the coffee, food and freshly made juice! Cap and LB were delish! Food was incredible! Our waitress was beautiful and so were the other young girls that worked the floor. Unfortunately, there was one girl, who obviously seemed to be running the shift behind the counter, who was excessively and unnecessarily rude to patrons and staff, including myself as I asked where to find the toilets. Put us off completely, which was disappointing.
After nearly 10 days in Queenstown we finally got around to Halo for breakfast and coffee. Cute little cafe with friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty! Long black was the smoothest we've had and we have tried nearly every cafe including the more reviewed ones on here of which I had to revert back to milk based coffee..... If you like black coffee, come here!
