I go to the university that is on this street but I don't go here for the coffee. Don't get me wrong, the coffee isn't bad. It's generally too hot which gives it a burnt taste, but we can forgive the French for that. They do other things very well. Like atmosphere. In winter they have heaters and thick blankets, plenty of plants to hide behind whilst you're checking out all the uni students passing by, the impossibly cute French school kids walking in two straight lines dressed in stylish clothes despite being five years old, and the old people who really don't understand how tacky they look in their fur coats. They have a nice selection of tea too. It's a great place to sit and forget that your coffee wasn't that great.

Being our first time in Paris we are staying in the 7th arrondissement but if we were to know what we know now we would be over in the 5th or 6th. Its the 6th the brings you St Germaine and this lovely little Cafe called Le Bizuth. These guys are not just about coffee but if you are looking for some caffiene that tastes pretty good then definitely worth stopping in. It may have been the assiette de fromage accompanied by a beautiful Gewurztraminer that heightened the espresso but it was made beautifully and up until that point the best coffee I had drunk this trip (since been to The Cafeoteque) It's a really neat location, lovely vibe and with friendly staff.

Great little café, with a very cool, chilled out atmosphere helped by the groovy decor. Great, friendly service (most of the time), and a pretty low price tag in comparison to many of the surrounding St Germain cafés. The coffee is tasty enough, though doesn't really offer anything extraordinary, at least in comparison to other Parisian brews (as an espresso drinker I can't really offer any insight into the white coffees). A good range of food at reasonable prices too: some of the best 10 Euro pizzas around, and tasty Berthillon ice creams to follow.
