Reviews of Blue Bottle (Rockefeller Centre)
Finally! A decent cup of coffee in the main hustle and bustle of Manhattan. This place is a little hard to find first off, however once there you realise this is a local watering hole for local Aussie businessman. Coffee is consistent however very weak to what I’m used to. We opted for lattes in place of our usual Flat Whites.
My best overall NYC coffee experience Even though there's lot of cafes and coffee bars Midtown, and even though the espresso revolution has reached the States, it's surprisingly hard to find decent (as in well made and good tasting) coffee in to locale. Bluebottle is a well known San Fran institution that's known for being serious about their coffee *and* have the consistency in their brew to justify their reputation. So imagine my pleasure when I discovered their NYC outpost, and so centrally located (though somewhat hidden within the bowels of the Centre. Pay attention to the directions on their website). My two morning coffee + croissant experiences didn't disappoint so next time I need a consistently high quality (inner-west style) coffee experience Midtown, I'll know where to turn. (And even if a flat white wasn't on the menu, their batistas know how to make them.)
