This small restaurant near gallery seemed simple, but when we opened the door we're in a little "bistro" warm and creative. Good food (and good wine!), attentive staff and a lot of imagination.

I have been to this cafe on numerous occasions when visiting/staying at the Epworth hospital. The short stroll down Smith St is worth it to avoid Hudson's coffee. Coffee is consistent in flavour (can actually taste the coffee). Froth texture was not dense on my latte's......but who cares if everything else is good. French staff were friendly on all trips there.

A welcoming, very French café that sells daily baked croissants and muffins - as you would expect! The crumbly bluestone walls and steel stairway add to the comfortable warm atmosphere. It's not your cool hipster type minimalist cafe - more like a 70's Carlton terrace vibe. It's the kind of café that locals go to with their dogs. The coffee and mochas are great - although you probably would not expect such great coffee given the competition in the local area. The food is simply presented but delicious in a very fresh no fuss French way - quiche, salads, foccacias. I go there a lot and always feel comfortable - and always enjoy the coffee - not the best in town but it's well made with good flavour. Oh and there's live music there I'm told on every second Friday night.
