Recommend Every high street should have a place this good, mine does not and is poorer for it. Great espresso made with care by the friendly barista who now recognises me early Saturday morning. As a London black cab driver and a coffee snob I go out of my way to try and find great coffee from special London places - and this is one of them.
Local Hero serves a decent Flat White. It was a little too weak/milky for my taste but the taste of the coffee bean was nice so I didn't mind it. Loved the look of the sourdough sandwiches but was a little disappointed to find their toast is the ubiquitous square sliced bread. I had presumed it would be the same type of bread. Their croissants are good and it has a nice atmosphere
Very good flat white - but does depend on the barista. Good selection of food. Breakfast and lunch menu is pretty good but doesn't change much (I've probably had everything on the menu over the past year or so). Nice wee garden out the back with plenty of sun in summertime. Good tables on the footpath out front to read the paper, sip a coffee and watch the hussle and bussle of Fulham Rd.
Lovely creamy late and great eggs royale. The espresso can be on the bitter side depending on your barrister. This cafe is bustling on the weekend - a very popular place among the locals. The two street front tables are a great place to people watch and for summer sun soaking there is a private little courtyard out the back. Certainly one of the best cafes for brunch on Fulham road. The service can be hit and miss - don't come here if you are in a hurry. And if you want your coffee to go, you'll have to wait your turn behind those who are seated.
