Short search and landed this gem in Launceston. Friendly chilled slightly boho, good tunes playing..... top ingredients for..... excellent coffee and great food. Closer to 9 than 8 (only because I’m a hard marker). Will be back next time I pass through.

Great coffee and more. After enjoying a Magic they suggested a small equally delicious little number served in a traditional Ethiopian cup. Very nice touch. The omelette was the coffees equal, beautifully light and delicious. The variety of seating is unusual, from a quiet space inventively created from an old cool room, to a massive table large enough to share without imposing. I highly recommend a visit.

You know what I love about Australia? It really doesn’t matter if you go to Brissie, Melbourne, Sydney or Launceston- you can pretty much get great coffee if you want it! My morning flat white at Sweetbrew was gorgeous. Nice coffee hit that was mellow and dark and chocolates. Great temp and vibe- well done!

Dropped in for a coffee on Easter Monday. Super busy but still time for a friendly chat prior to being served a great coffee. Highly recommended if you’re ever in town.

without a doubt, the best cafe in Launceston, if not in Australia. Tasty and delicious food, amazing and friendly staff, and exceptional coffee. The taste and presentation of the food is consistent, you can taste the love and care invested in preparing the dishes. Get to know the lovely staff, they always stop by for a chat at the table. strongly recommended.

Visited Sweetbrew on a Sunday morning for coffee only. Ordered a small latte & a large flat white. (There is not a huge difference between their small & large cups). Coffee was o.k., though tasted burnt while not being particularly hot. Place has a nice vibe, but there are better options very close by.

Expensive... I’m not sure how they can justify $5.00 for a large coffee. Ive never paid that much in Melbourne! So they’re using quality ingredients (just like the best cafe’s on the mainland do) but surely rent etc is in no way comparible. I suspect it’s just due to lack of competition. So try Bryher just a few doors down, they manage to use great Tasmanian ingredients at a more affordable price.
