Reviews of Real Coffee
Nice vibe with friendly staff in a cool hip kind of way. My long black was disgusting, I only had a few sips after waiting 15 minutes for it to cool enough to sip and it was not drinkable. No flavour except a harsh bitter after taste. I suspect their good quality organic milk would mask the poor coffee underneath. Disappointing coffee in an otherwise cool spot.
I am so happy I found this place, & so happy I didn't read the reviews below first. Great coffee, serving their own locally roasted brand, no extra for a double shot, always quick service, approachable & knowledgeable staff & a shop full of coffee gear, so if they still can't make you happy, you can find what you need to make yourself a coffee the way you think it should be at home. Plus one of the baristi looks a little like Prof Brian Cox, but instead of particle acceleration & super colliders they're firing pressurised water at coffee bean particles to extract a perfect espresso... which is pretty important too.
This place has some high end gear for sale, roasts their own beans, and offers barista training courses. So I was hoping for something good. Sadly disappointed. This morning the barister seemed flustered, was slow, and the coffee wasn't that special. Too hot, not well steamed, and no sweetness in the extraction. Pity, I'm sure I had a wonderful coffee here once before.
