for those who look for quality coffee, you shouldn't bother coming to this shop anymore. When they was opened their first store in hong kong, they set themselves up as a specialty coffee shop. I guess maybe they realized they are not making as much money as other chain store like starxx, they shifted their direction to a simple coffee shop by don't care about how the barista serving coffee. Today I was really pissed that i need to wait for more than 7 minutes for my coffee, not because of the queue, it was just that the barista was chatting with his colleague while making coffee! Moreover, the outcome was nothing spectacular at all. The latte art cannot really be called at art and my latte has foam as thick as a cappuccino! Most importantly, the coffee was charged at a specialty coffee rate. I will definitely not come back to have another coffee.
A return visit to the Holly Brown cafe in K11 and you can see they really are gearing up for the outrageous coffee market, so called VIP coffee drinkers, with syphoned blue mountain and kopi lewak coffee for two costing over 1000 hkd... Shame they have forgotten how to distinguish between a latte and a cappucino... Ordered one of each, the difference was indistinguishable... Shame really, i hope the owners go back to basics and focus on well made coffee's whilst they continue to chase the cash rich and sometimes ignorant mainland chinese customers... Stick with 18 grams if in the TST area.
