Blackboard Coffee

Varsity Lakes

Best cafe Blackboard Coffee in gold-coast for 2016

This place is currently selling the best coffee on the GC.They've really lifted their game. Been here a lot, and every time have not left without a great coffee. If you havent been here in the last 12 months, and you love good coffee, you need to go. Amazing coffee.

Great and friendly service every time - the staff make you feel like a friend. Coffee is always great and food is generally good. Bit pricey, but one of my favourite spots on the coast!

Friendly staff but disorganised and slow. Ordered a large strong skinny latte and received a small after waiting 15 mins

Lot 1

Surfers Paradise

Best cafe Lot 1 in gold-coast for 2016

Pretty good! Just had a takeaway but the service was quick and the coffee tasted delicious

Still a really good choice for coffee in Surfers.

Best cafe Daark Espresso in gold-coast for 2016

Just a real cut above the rest in a trendy restaurant with best staff. Always call in here when on the coast.

I like a full flavor but smooth coffee and I got a cracker. I asked for a normal small flat white and got a coffee with great texture and a full flavor. If I live local I would certainly be a regular. I also had the breakfast burger and it was to die for. Simple, but great quality ingredients: lovely light brioche bun, lean bacon, tasty cheddar, lovely chutney and a perfect egg. The service was top rate too.

I’m a regular here and a TOTAL coffee snob. House blend is beautifully smooth - in 2 years they’ve never disappointed. Music 👌. Staff incredible. Food delicious and so reasonably priced - breakfast AND lunch. All this = a busy little joint so If you don’t like busy check it out on a weekday xx

Elk Espresso

Broadbeach

Best cafe Elk Espresso in gold-coast for 2016

Visited a few times for coffees (espressi and flat whites) and overall just above average. Milk based a bit too hot on all occasions, and on one of the visits, the coffees tasted harsh and burnt. However, possibly one of the better coffee places in the local vicinity. Main coffee is the Killerbee blend from Single O, and they also served single origins (including from another roaster).

Coffee was good. Very busy so be prepared to wait. That said the service did seem unnecessarily slow. We ordered two coffees which came out separately. We also ordered two cookies which were very ordinary and over priced.

Best cafe The Black Sheep Espresso Baa in gold-coast for 2016

Best cafe Base Espresso in gold-coast for 2016

A very popular venue for coffees and meals with both indoor and outdoor service areas. The espresso arrived quickly with intense darkness and crema and enjoyed the smooth, lush mouthfeel and light natural sweetness. Staff were friendly and considerate and service was prompt and efficient. The menu was largely up-scale Café fare but provided a good range of choice and excellent value ($3 espresso).

Best cafe Paradox Coffee Roasters in gold-coast for 2016

Been here a few times. Sometimes you get great service, and sometimes you feel like a number. The coffee is good and the food is interesting. I had the smashed avo and liked it. Interesting addition of peas. Coffee is straight down the line with no amazing hits of citrus, that I would normally prefer. I could taste chocolate in my brew, which obviously kills the after-taste. So all in all, it is a good coffee. Didn't blow me away though.

Their birch is so yummy. The coffee is rich and smooth, easy to drink. The atmosphere is relaxing and their is a kids play area with gates!!!! In the back of the cafe separate to the patio dining. Its table service and the staff and welcoming, personable, kind and not invasive. Will definitely come back. What an amazing little gem. I am a barista and cook so very fussy. Well done guys. Great set up and I love the exposed roasting.

Canteen Coffee

Burleigh Heads

Best cafe Canteen Coffee in gold-coast for 2016

We lovvvve Canteen and it's been our go-to when in Burleigh for many years... but has it changed hands?? Or something?? Real quiet morning, and our flats had 2+cms of foam, & when I asked for Single O there was none available... just a weird, different, poor quality and experience this morning from usually an excellent shop...

Has changed hands and lost its swag. This appears a good example of someone buying a coffee shop and underestimating the important things like friendly greeting, quality beans, single origins, perfect extraction and all-round good service.

No Name Lane

Broadbeach

Best cafe No Name Lane in gold-coast for 2016

Great Coffee and lovely staff. If you are in Broadbeach this is the place to start your day

Great coffee and excellent brekkie, huge serves so consider sharing a dish.

Consistently great coffee! Black Sheep coffee is delicious and I enjoy it as a long black. I’ve been visiting No Name Lane whenever I’m on the Gold Coast since they opened and although the place has evolved they still focus on making an awesome coffee every time. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.
