Using piccolo beans which come from warrnambool, just down the road- I like that they use locally roasted product. Coffee is pretty sound, a typical blend for milky coffees which suits me. The food here is also pretty impressive- mostly bakery goods, but well worth the stop. Service is outstanding
Reviews of Loaf and lounge
Awesome coffee! Had to queue and wait for a while but it was SO worth it!! Great creamy texture, extra creamy froth as ordered and not overly hot but not too cool either. Cakes looked delicious and very reasonably priced. Savoury option excellent too :) Shame there's nothing Wifi but otherwise it was a perfect place.
Great looking cafe. Excellent assortment of good food. Best vegetarian pastie to be found. Coffee was very good too. Service let them down. Waited way too long for our food and had to ask for one of our orders as they had forgotten to bring it out. If they improve on that then it's well worth a visit.
This is my third or fourth visit to Loaf n Lounge. Each time I go I am impressed with the quality of the cakes and the warmth of ambience. Today did not disappoint. My long black was well executed, complete with a rich crema. The cappuccino and flat white did not disappoint, and Loaf n Lounge proved themselves to be the best coffee providers in the Camperdown Cobden district. My only criticism was that the coffees arrived about 10mins after the cakes. It was busy, but a good barista and FOH should be able to manage spikes like these.
well worth a visit! very good coffee (house roasted), huge selection of sweet treats (house-baked) and deli goods, lunch and brekky menu and a build-your-own green smoothie for all you health nuts. big and spacious as well, with lots of lovely mismatched chairs and hardwood dining tables.
