To be honest I was a little disappointed after reading 2 very positive reviews. The food was good (bacon and egg roll hard to mess up tho). The coffee was good but didn't apear to have any real care taken with them, no late art same milk for latte as cap. The staff where felt like they were not to happy to set up, signs up bragging about table service but I had to go up to the counter for assistance ti find ther servers chatting with their backs to me. There was an older couple who where much friendlier than the younger staff. Final thought. It is easy to believe this is the best coffee in a area with very little options, but if not for this I would not recommend it on its own merrits.
Reviews of Glencoe Cafe
We were fortunate enough to stumble upon this great cafe in time for lunch whilst travelling through the beautiful Glencoe area. Excellent soup of the day (a choice of 2 were on offer) served either on its own or with bread, a sandwich or best of all freshly baked cheese scones. I also enjoyed a delicious flat white with some home baked oat and date slice. A perfect lunch in a beautiful location. The staff were busy but handled the crowds with grace and a warm welcome.
After driving over 1000 miles all over Scotland (literally) we found serious coffee lovers making excellent coffee. Very nice home made food with lovely variety to suit most. You get an explanation about the barista training, the bean type, the experience of the roasters and what the coffee suppliers are about, on a well presented card on each table etc etc etc ..... and we found other Aussies planted inside as well. Wifi. Set amongst the amazing Glencoe mountains, indoor/outdoor seating, it's the real stuff here. Drive, stay, eat & drink here for a beautiful experience in the Scottish country side. A skiing town. Amazing service. Finally, barista standard coffee and service by people passionate about what they do. More sophisticated artwork on the creamy milk next! 2 espressos and a cap.
