We come down to Canungra region most weeks for Paragliding. When passing through Beaudesert it has always been difficult to find a decent coffee. I noticed the signage a couple of weeks ago and decided yesterday to actually stop and try it out. Firstly I love the fit out and quirky country charm they have given to this old shop. It really suits the town. Inside I was impressed to see a wall of T2 teas, a big filled cake display and lots of customers. Looking good! Service was friendly, helpful and delightful. The young dark haired girl was lovely, sort of refreshing after the attitude of some city Cafe staff! The coffee is from Aromas, the Organica blend. It was served hotter than in the city, but I expected that. Country fold prefer hot coffee. I also expected it to be a mild blend and it was. The flavours were obvious and pleasant. The blend was mild and sweet. No latte art here and not very much foam for a flat white. Though I have experienced this before in country coffees. Flat white sort of means 'like at home' If I wanted foam I probably should have asked for a latte? Overall it is nice to know I can find a reasonable cup of coffee when driving west. The service and the food alone is worth stopping for. Good value, honest portions and friendly service. A winner!
