Reviews of Cafés el Magnífico
The coffee is good and very drinkable, great central location, and you have friendly and capable staff, however there are only about 4 stools and no tables or toilets so it's not a place to relax over a few coffees. They need to decrease the back of store space and open up some seating and this would really take off
Not that magnifico... Barista seemed shakey, maybe new? First coffee (espresso) poured too long and uninspiring. Second (asked for a ristretto) was better. Best coffee you'll get in the area by far. Great choice of beans on offer from roasters and some speciality dark chocolate.
All i can say is thank goodness ! I found out about this cafe on Beanhunter. Just moved to Barcelona from Melbourne so im a royal coffee snob !! Consistantly fantastic latte with fresh milk (rare in spain) . Coffee beans/blend is strong so i go for a half shot. Barista (female) speaks english, friendly, reasonably priced. No seating so get a take away and take a 30 second stroll to the cathedral to sit and sip ! Bliss !
