This is my coffee pilgrimage destination of choice when in the Adelaide Hills. The coffee is made exactly to my liking: strength, texture, temperature, pleasing to the eye and nose, and it is clear chatting to the head barista (Ben) that there is a genuine passion for coffee, and for understanding the craft of making coffee, and the art of serving coffee. They use quality milk and La Crema beans (not sure which blend), which suits my palette, not too bland or bitter. Would be nice if there was a fairtrade option.
Tiny little place on the left hand side of Mount Barker's Main Street. Watch the front door - it kind of sticks. The coffee was a solid Good heading towards Excellent – served to me far to hot, and my tongue was still a bit funny, some 6 hours later. But the coffee flavour was really nice, ending with hints of mocha. I'll be back.
