Umm...what to say?
They switched their LM and Brasillia, for LaSan Marco machines??? Not missing the Brazillia, but the LM really makes FN AWESOME coffee.
I had an espresso on their "wild child" blend. It was on the lever machine; cool idea, a bit gimmicky, and great if it pulls awesome shots.
What sparkling water do they use? It was frichen awesome!!! Not too sparkly so that it burned, and had nice mineral flavour. It was almost like Pheonix Mineral Water.
...Right, right, back to the coffee. Ahh, I didn't finish it. "Wild child" was lacking a lot and I was just left with a woody, s...
Mecca wasn't open, so I came here. I cringed a little when we entered, a grungy cafe with the "George St" busyness about it.
I was surprised though. Nothing special, but nothing to fault in the coffee. It was a solid coffee.
They got to us as fast as they could, but being the only cafe open...we had to queue. The phoenix ginger beer and mineral water made it really, really tops. Nice shop...
Had their breakfast special. Wow, baked eggs, with pork belly and beans.
Espresso...comparable with my favorite cafe DandD. Piccolo was a little disappointing. The milk wasn't right, almost like it had sat for a bit before being poured and separated. The heart on top was bad as well...
The clever dropper on the San Juan 8 Estrellas was good.
They've got these indoor plants between the bar and majority of the seating and half of them are dead...
Went here yesterday and was pretty impressed. Breakfast was awesome. I wasn't over the moon about the coffee though. Such a typical synesso taste about both espresso's I had. The first single, had a pale yellow look, no darkening of the crema, and had no apparent taste, besides cardboard flowers. The second though was good; speckling, colour change and what not, apparent. This onewas a solid espresso, which is what I was expecting from these guys...
I think it's hell cool that theyve got like 8000W of speakers that they don't really need. It'd be a cool bar if they wanted to do that
Hit it in a busy patch. Had an Ethiopian Sidamo espresso, house blend espresso and a pourover with their beehouse 2 hole pourover (trubrew?). The Sidamo nailed the typical strawberry notes and had solid caramelized sugar notes as well. House blend was said to be acidic, not so acidic on my palette, but it needed to be cleaner; it had a dirty finish to it. Still, a ratable espresso though. My pourover on the Yirgicheffe was interesting. First time I've got a strong lemon from a yirgicheffe. A long lingering raw sugar in the finish which was nice; the balance of the coffee was not right though....

My espresso had no significant speckling or colour to it. More of a flat golden yellow across the surface. A nice body to match a fruity coffee. Acidity was a bit much and was a tad ashy in the finish.
Set up is F-N awesome! Though crowded; very crowded. I like the shop and the staff were alright.
My sister said her latte was in the top10 she's ever had...but ...
This place is about atmosphere. Coffee is alright generally and they have teadrop tea's which are tops. Again dependent on the barista to the quality of the coffee...some know what they're doing, and others, well, need a few sessions.
Great cocktails though and a nice menu.
This place is very modern, relaxing and nice to sit and socialize in.
