Had been meaning to go to Market Lane for ages based on the feedback of others so was expecting big things !

The fit out is fantastic and a temple to the love of coffee, with products to buy, cards scattered around about coffee and equipment, plus a cupping room.

The coffee was fantastic - had a piccolo and a filter, each was from a different bean and showing lots of character. With the filter came a card explaining the coffee and where it came from which was a great idea.

Brew-Ha has loads of potential but seems to be more focussed on serving coffee and food rather than making coffee.

Feels coporatised and to be honest is expensive.

Coffee is OK but lacks any punch.

Cranked seems lost between a cafe, small bar and restaurant - trying to be all things to all people. As a result the coffee suffers from not enough love and attention.

As far as Leederville goes it is one of the better offers but is nothing to write home about.

I didn't know what to expect when going to Hoppenworth & Ploch given my experience of drinking coffee at university campuses is non-existent and was more focussed on other beverages ...

The cafe website showed plenty of potential so I was keen to give it a go and I'm pleased to say that H&P is absolutely fantastic - quality coffee and superb baristas, its a real gem.

The fitout is nowhere near as good as others given it is in a university building foyer, but the rows of bench seats give it a great vibe.

If I lived in Frankfurt this would be the place to get a coffee.
