I'll be honest, the main pull to try Cartel Coffee this afternoon was the lure of free Iced Coffee... But the Iced Coffee was delicious - strong and sweet and not too milky. So then I just had to get a flat white, and it was still good - strong (he did ask if I wanted a strong, so he gave me a double ristretto in a small cup), not too much foam (it is a *flat* white after all, not a latte) and a gorgeous smooth flavour. Only downside I could find was it was a little too hot to drink at first.
I think the beans are their own, and hitting all the trendy points: Organic, Fair Trade and Rainfore...
Beanhunter is about \"coffee worth travelling for\" - well, dandd is worth cycling 7.5km (to and from) in stinking Brisbane heat. Most definitely.
My mocha was one of the best I\'ve ever had - near-perfect balance of smooth rich coffee and not-too-sweet chocolate. Service was fast, staff were friendly and up for a chat if you are, and the atmosphere is elegant yet relaxing - no pretentiousness here, just fantastic overall service.
Love love love love love the coffee here. Great selection of blends, staff are so professional and the atmosphere is so inviting. The only thing they could improve is to be open on the weekends.

When you walk in you can see the range of bean blends on offer, which they'll bag or grind straight away for you. In the cafe section the walls are covered in machines and coffee-making/perfecting paraphernalia.
The quality of the coffee can depend on the barista, but what I've had here I have really liked - fast, smooth and balanced. Great energy from all the staff. When I said I liked my coffee strong, they suggested the Forza blend - and it is good!
Great little cafe. It's tiny, but it doesn't need to be any bigger. My flat white was smooth, luscious and very fast and friend's soy flat white was "quite mellow, not bitter and the soy milk wasn't too sweet".
I have to say that my favourite thing about Bird's Nest are the cute stamps on the takeaway cups. A nice personalised touch.
When I told a friend I was heading to Melbourne for the weekend, this is the first and only cafe he recommended. It took a while to find - where's the signage?! - and I walked up and down Little Bourke Street about 5 times looking for it...
Eventually, I found it and I'm glad I did. Yes, it's tiny and the wait to order can be awhile. And yes, it's quirkily decorated. But the coffee is fast, smooth and tasty.
I ordered a piccolo, latte and mocha (not all for me!). All were beautifully finished in appearance, seemed a shame to put lids on. A good temperature to drink there but the takeaw...
This is a tiny little cafe, serving Belaroma espresso.
My flat white was tasty, almost sweet for no sugar.
They served every coffee with a little biscotti which was a nice touch.
Good range of food. Some comfy block seating inside and tables outside.
Service was lacklustre - there were only 3 staff for such a small cafe - but the coffee came out so quickly I barely had time to read the info sheet about Belaroma. Not a lot of atmostphere, but there seemed to be a lot of regulars coming and going.
When you're waiting for a flight at 4.30am, and it's cold and threatening wind and rain outside, nothing makes you happier than a good coffee. And that's what Mojo @ Wellington Airport serve up.
My mocha was a perfect balance between rich coffee and velvety sweet chocolate, and my fiancé's latte was smooth. Only problem? They were too hot to drink straight away!
The table/bar to perch at provide perfect spots to people-watch, if that's what you're into...
Surprisingly, the staff were reasonably chipper for the early morning time. For some reason, there was food available, but I've no id...
