Brilliant coffee. Made to perfection. Will definitely be back when in Eumundi on a Wed or Sat. In fact, that's the only downside - that they don't trade 5 or 6 days a week.

Service was alright, not overly cheery. But I guess it was at the end of a long day :)

Not to be confused with Joe Black in Surry Hills (they're no relation), this little hole-in-the-wall is a brilliantly Italian coffee haunt in the middle of one of the CBDs busiest intersections. Blink, and you'll miss it.

You'll be drawn in by the charismatic and very friendly barista - he was genuinely enthusiastic about making good coffee, and even checking that the coffee was fine before we paid. The coffee was brilliant - rich and perfectly made.

The food menu looks amazing, and the breakfast menu is pretty decent too.

New cafe into the QVB, replacing Frosco (whose coffee was fairly lousy). I spotted their set up (naked) and their Toby's beans, and thought it was worth a visit...

And it was pretty good! Fairly consistent Toby's flavour (very, very similar to another Toby's cafe closer to home to me), and very easy to drink. Would happily come here for a coffee when I don't really want to think about it - but for complexities in flavour, and stronger beans, there's better places in the CBD.

Unfortunately my experience here wasn't as good as others seem to have had. It was late in the arvo, so perhaps the regular barista had gone home... but I guess that's not much of an excuse.

I ordered my flat white and then watched in horror as the shot was left to draw for what must've been close to 40 or 50 seconds before he manually stopped it. But didn't act like there was anything wrong with that. And sure enough, the coffee was burnt and overdrawn.

Unfortunate, definitely, because judging by other reviews, this place can obviously pull a good coffee.
