Decent coffee and good food. The service is excellent, the staff were very attentive and friendly. They were very apologetic when they got our order wrong and replaced it immediately. Highly recommended for coffee and brekkie/lunch.
This cafe seems to be always packed, we had to wait for over an hour before we can get a seat. But once seated, service is friendly, food is good, but coffee is just ok. Mind you, it's not bad coffee, but not great either. I had the lamb salad which is delicious, the meat is very tender. Other food are good as well (but my apology, I went here a while back, so can't remember what others had). I probably won't go there again without prior booking (that is if they do accept booking).
Having been a regular here, I was always well looked after. Get to taste new single origins or new blends every now and then, they sometimes even give a free cup to taste. They also knew if I were to try a single origin that doesn't cut through milk quite well, they would tell me and offer either long mac or a different SO or blend. Every morning I walked 7 minutes just to get the best coffee in Melbourne, if not the best in the world :)
2nd and 3rd visit proved the coffee is much better than my very first visit. It shows that there might be some consistency issues back then, or they were just too busy back then because of the public holiday. Food is nice as well
Latte a bit too frothy for my liking but has decent coffee taste. The menu is made into a little book with children's book as a cover, nice touch. Food on the menu looks very interesting, and don't forget to check specials on the board as well. Freshly squeezed orange juice is very refreshing, with a hint of grapefruit. Very fast and friendly service. Food is well presented and full of flavour. Certainly a favourite in the western suburb!
