Michael and Gabrielle were great hosts and pulled lovely shots of the Nude Espresso East Blend on their (new) retro-styled Faema machine when I popped in a few weeks back for the first time.
Recently re-positioned and now facing the window, the moveable counter holds a number of cookies and cakes as well as their Mazzer grinder. With seating for 3 inside (the 3 little pigs perhaps?) and a small pavement seating area outside you can stay a while or grab a coffee to go.

This was the first Chocoffee I have been to and discovered it on a tipoff via Twitter from a coffee friend in the UK. I'm glad I made the effort to find this place - a Chocolate and Coffee Bar - I was in heaven!
My wife and I were on holiday in Krakow and first headed to Chocoffee one evening after dinner in the Old Town market square (about 4 minutes walk away) and opted to have 100g of their chocolates along with the Chocoffee drink and a ginger spiced hot chocolate
We left that night very satisfied (and with another 100g of their finest chocs (about 10) to bring back to the UK.

Formerly known as Museum of Kawe this cafe/shop is not well signposted but a very helpful Tourist Info centre employee on Florianska walked us there (on a hunch it was where he thought it might be)
There used to be 4 rooms housing a collection of hand grinders and brewing equipment which now only occupies 2 rooms.
Split into 2 parts, you first enter the cafe and it's like stepping back in time, into a dimly lit room with coffee sacks and old photos on the walls, an impressive map at one end, and a coffee machine and wall of roasted coffee at the other.

Camera Cafe in Krakow Old Town is set in a cave-like building just a few minutes walk from Rynek Glowny. The old cameras on tripods and the silent movie being played onto a wall is an odd combination but somehow feels right.
Service was prompt and the menu comprehensive but nowhere was the brand of coffee mentioned.
I ordered a macchiato and an iced coffee with coconut ice cream for my wife.
The macc looked great and I was expecting something nice to come from the Mazzer Grinder / Nuova Simonelli machine combo, and hadn't even considered that a cafe that put this much effort into it's app...

Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of K Road is little b, a trendy little cafe in Newton Gully, serving superb coffees roasted by Barista Empire
Matt who pulls your shot in this cafe is also a roaster and out of hours you'll find him at Ben in Fort St working his magic on their 3kg roaster
With both inside and outside seating there is plenty of space to enjoy a coffee and cake. There is plenty of free parking in the area too
Syphon and Cold Drip Filter Brew coffee is served alongside espresso based drinks made with a La Marzocco linea.

If the 3kg roaster in the window, the sacks of coffee neatly stacked next to a queue of well dressed professionals all eagerly awaiting their coffee and a general hum of happy conversation isn't an endorsement of Ben's talent then I don't know what is
Ben (the owner and the cafe name) turns out one great cup after another. I tried a few drinks over my visits when recently on holiday in NZ and enjoyed each and every one. From the espresso, to the macchiato and the flat white each drink was superbly crafted by Ben and served with a smile.

Good One is a real hidden gem. Set a fair way off Ponsonby Road this is a real destination cafe. But when you arrive you are rewarded with great service, a simple but delicious menu and Supreme coffee
Good One holds tasting sessions on a Thursday morning between 0800 and 0930 with Hannah and Kim running the show.
I attended 2 sessions when in NZ and was treated to some stunning coffees in a number of brewing methods (Hario V60's, Fretta (iced coffee) and Chemex)

Coffee Fix is the type of cafe you could take a date to, or your mum, and both would love you for it
