Best coffee i've found in avalon. Haven't tried black coffee here yet, but the strong flat whites i had were consistently deep, smooth and, call me crazy, but they had 'personality'. Shot cut thru the milk with a satisfying nuttiness. Will be back for sure. Oh and fab homemade baked yummies.

Strong fw was served, eventually, with the seriously burnt milk not exactly complimenting the ashy coffee. Service was slow in a lazy way rather than a 'busy and worth the wait' kinda way. And I had so wanted to love you guys! But i couldnt even finish the coffee, instead went next door to get the devil you know.

I liked the length of the shot, and mouthfeel was on the thin side but not unpleasant. Crema dissipated as the shot reached the table.
I then had a strong latte which was actually quite nice, and much better made than other places I\'ve had jack and the bean.
Had a guat off the slayer this morning, fantastic! Heard the guy at next table exclaim 'oh my god that is fecking incredible!' as he tasted his slayer espresso, so i'm not the only one. Also tried a yirgacheffe siphon (beans roasted on site few days ago) which was beautiful. Mostly I can't stop thinking of when I can get my next slayer fix.

Bought a double espresso to takeaway, it was more than 60ml, watery and crema which was there one second but the next had disappeared. In place of the crema I did get some pieces of floating polystyrene which had fallen in from the disintegrating cup. I didn't expect much from a cafe serving Mocha brand of coffe, but I did expect more than this.
