Bridge Rd is normally pretty horrible for cafes but here's the oasis. I love this place! The coffee is 5 senses on a synesso machine and the service is very friendly. A great selection of cakes rounds it off nicely. Oh and who could go past a cafe with a misspelled name!

Sure I've been to Axil, Seven Seeds, Brother Baba etc, but I find the simplicity and ability to be somewhat removed from that "scene" an endearing quality, not to mention the coffee. the coffee is always good, really good. I love the beans, and the staff are really friendly (maybe that is because I'm a local and have got to know Hamish well - just take him some toffee pops and he'll be your friend). They've made some recent changes inside and there's a second, espresso only machine, which is apparently good (I don't know about the hardware).

The opening hours on a Saturday are actually 9am as opposed to 10am as written here, which was lucky as we managed to have a great coffee before flying out of Edinburgh.

The coffee is terrific and they have a great ever-changing list of beans. The atmosphere is Hawthorn and no Fitroy, which is a little bit of a downer, but they're doing OK.
