I've been in coffee for over 9 years, working as a barista trainer for over 6 of them. I'm currently the National Training Manager for Grinders Coffee. Specialty coffee for me is really important and something i strive to be and be apart of. I love coffee and all of the variables it throws at you.

The 21 Grams blend is a smooth, fruity balanced espresso, also shines as a long black. Funky little fit out and some fresh bites to help the caffeine consumption.

A really cool vibe. It's got this nice old world feel, old photos and trimmings, makes for a sweet experience. They use Toby's which is probably still seen relatively cool in Newcastle, and they do it well.

I have a Java single espresso, nice bright acidity, not a lot of sweetness, smooth dark cocoa finish. All in all, worth it!

On first impressions this place is raw, hipster and cut back. I guess that's the loom they're after. Mumford and Sons in the background created a really nice atmosphere!

I started with a long black and it was spot on. Fruity acidity with a hint of apricot making way for a dark cocoa finish.

The staff whilst carrying that air of 'I'm too coolness' were pleasant and playful, always a bit of fun when that happens.

Breakfast was perfect. I had the bacon, chipolatas and scrambled eggs. Presentation awesome and the chutney/sauce that came with it tasty!

Great vibe, super great espresso and they do some awesome nibbly food that's good in the face! Not a lot of great coffee around north Sydney but this one is! Try their iced tea if you have the chance too!

7 Seeds are masters at atmosphere and coffee! Simplicity is key here as having two brew methods gives you minimal choice. They do those well! I had a brilliant French press, followed by corn roti with pork belly and egg, then an awesome Kenyan rizzy to top it off!

Sexy white FB80 and cool staff in unexpecting building... I had a chemex, one of 5 different brew methods. Had some Costa and it was punchy, sweet and full!

Can't believe that i'm only the second person to review this little gem!

When I'm away from home i will always make an effort to source out a great cup of coffee. When in Perth i have my favourites and this is one of them. Tucked away just outside of the city in Subiaco, Spring and the team that is Spring Espresso do one thing really well - fantastic coffee. I had the opportunity to taste some single origins as siphon and clever drip, and they were made expertly by Ray... he certainly made some good cups!

They are friendld, quaint and comfortable. Make an effort to go there while you a...
