A friend suggested I check this place out when visiting Melbourne. I am glad I made it. Great food, excellent fitout, superb espresso and pour-over and the staff were friendly. If I lived in Melbourne this is the place I would go for my weekend breakfasts.

Would love to see some single origins running for espresso. A good house blend and enjoyable pour-overs. Although pour-overs are not always available. Nice combinations on the food side of things.

My last double ristretto was well below par. The flat white that was served at my table was left unfinished. Cleanliness is low, both the shop itself and the coffee making area. An attempt has been made to be arty but again misses the mark. Arty doesn\'t have to slip to having a filthy shop! Small improvements would make a huge difference. Hopefully they will improve so that Newcastle can finally have high quality coffee.

Focussed on coffee and nail it every time. Always new coffees coming in to try as well. Definitely a place to check out and worth the effort of making it to Marrickville for the coffee alone.
