High quality freshly roasted beans with a no nonsense competent barista serving through a hole in the wall.
Paid $3 for a quadruple-shot "long" black (in truth it was just four shots!)!
The chocolate coated coffee beans are highly recommended!

A gourmet food store that sells coffee on the side.
$3.50 takeaway. Good extraction, great frothing but the beans could have been fresher.
Also, they have the coolest takeaway cups I have ever encountered!
Probably not the best in Kingston but definitely the best value for money.

Update - dropped down a notch.
Over the past few months I have been consistently underwhelmed by my once favourite haunt. I'm not saying the coffee is bad - its not! It's just not as good as it used to be. The coffee is not as rich as I remember.
I still go here for coffee but now I'll try a few other places as well.

Medium flat white $4.
Pretty good. Ok extraction that showed hints of caramel but not all the way there. I suspect it would be better if I asked for a strong cup or a small.
Service was quick and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere.
Food looks good but pricey - I'll give it a go when I'm feeling a bit more cashed up!
I'll definitely go again.

Great coffee every single time!
Quick friendly service by guys who really know what they are doing...and have freakish powers of memory! I'm only in Perth one week out of six yet they still remember me and what I drink! Seriously, it's like a very minor super-power!
The little snacks they have are always fantastic and ever changing - the dark chocolate plum muffins were a perfect coffee match!
I can't go anywhere else in the city any more because no one can meet the standard these guys have set!

Super fast and super good!
I see why these guys have developed such a reputation! It's one of those coffee shops you tell is going to be good when the aroma of fine coffee envelopes you as you cross the threshold. The next sign is the beautiful rich caramel in the shots they are constantly sipping for themselves.
Of course the real test is what you taste for yourself and in this case your other senses were dead on! The coffee really is fantastic. It lingers. It makes you want to go back for more.
On a side note, I can also see why they went for the whole origin myth Frisky Goat name, but...
