Reliable coffee and tasty sweet treats, but I agree with the other reviewers that the setting is 'cold'. Large concrete walls with soft lighting will do that - and I now prefer to sit in their other seating area underneath the stairs out front.
Sorry, the coffee: it's smooth milk, medium strength and warm. What more could you ask for in a shopping centre? The other contender here (for my money, at least) is CoffeeHit, up the other end.
Tony and the friendly staff at Chill made us feel very welcome in this 'more-like-your-local' corner cafe.
Their coffees are strong and reliable with great milk and latte art too. We became semi-regulars here as we knew we'd get an enjoyable coffee hit (hot or iced) in a relaxed atmosphere.
Sidenote: try the Eggs Benedict
Widely tipped as the best coffee in Palm Cove, but the skinny flat white my wife had was undrinkable! It tasted somewhere between burnt milk and over-drawn coffee.
My full-fat milk latte was much better, so perhaps forget the calories and stick with full-fat!
Friendly staff and beautiful setting, probably worth another try.
Great to know that we can rely on this place for a great coffee whilst here on holidays. Sometimes seaside towns are a bit hit'n'miss; but after stopping by for some perfect iced coffee and cap's this morning, we'll be likely to return tomorrow and the next day.
Seems to be the place that's attracting the cool cats too: there were 3 Apple Mac users conspicuously enjoying the wifi here.
Not a fan of the Friday arvo tarot readings, but I'll just go at other times.
A funky little cafe here on a bend of the Great Ocean Road outside of Anglesea, there's some pretty cool cats running a neat little cafe here. Why, It could almost be Fitzroy...
There's op shop style chairs and tables from the 70's, art on the walls, tea cups and saucers suspended above me. It almost feels like you're round at your cousin's place after you're aunt and uncle have passed away with all their cool stuff still there to stimulate the senses.
Coffee tastes good, though the milk leaves a bit to be desired. The food menu is short (toasties, soups, brekkie classics) and they keep loc...
It's a tea house. There's 50 teas on offer, but they are also doing some respectable coffee here too. It's a cosy shop/tea house which is very casual and cruisy: a pleasant place to unwind.
Turn right at the second roundabout (just after the bridge) and you're here.
If you're company wants tea, this is your place - if you're only interested in a latte, I'd suggest you keep driving!
