Provisions is the place to be for anyone that is hungry. The food is fantastic and portions on the large size!
The coffee is pretty good too but it's the food that stands out here. They usually have bean of the month which is usually worth trying too.
Service is usually pretty swift and always friendly.
Assuming you get a table, the biggest problem will be choosing from the huge range of daily specials.
Well worth a visit, but not if you're preventing me from getting a table!
I visited when the 5 Senses crew were at the helm and I've got to say I was suitably impressed.
The Barista ground some beans for me to smell so that I could decide which coffee I wanted for my long black and the offered a recommendation too.
I went with a fruity Ethiopian number, with some reservations as fruity coffee is not really my thing, but it was pretty spectacular.
I highly recommend you give this place a try. When Melbourne's finest baristas come together, something really special is spawned.
I've had several really amazing coffee's at this relatively new cafe and I thought that they were well worth a review.
On my first visit a colleague and I simultaneously said "Wow!" after a first sip. It really was that good.
As an aside, the food is also up to standard and certainly worth a visit.
I was drawn in by the range of Single Origin coffees that were available, and the fact that it looked like it was offering something unique. I was right!
I ordered my long black and asked if I needed to pick my bean only to be told that I would be offered the S1 blend for a long black. I suppose the house blend is a good place to start. Unfortunately, the uniqueness was that it was one of the worst coffees I\'ve had in a long time. The S1 blend is fruity and acidic and barely tastes like coffee. It had no crema to talk of and was hugely underwhelming.
The worst thing was that to return and t...
I had been here once before and got really poor service, so this was my first visit in a couple of years.
Recently refurbed, it looks nice and new and the service was ok. Food was ok, and the coffee wasn\'t too bad either. I had a very well extracted long black, nice and smooth but I found the bean choice rather dull.
All in all quite enjoyable but Willi has much better to offer only seconds away. The Deli next door does the best food in town and BeanScene the best coffee. Tough competition!
A burger joint selling the best coffee in town? You\'d better believe it! A very creditable coffee, extracted to perfection and with good depth and flavour.
Didn\'t try the burgers, which is clearly their focus, but breakfast was a disappointment as everything is fried.
I recommend getting food elsewhere but definitely worth stopping by for coffee.
