Great coffee in the Ringwood area is hard to find. Lots of cafes but mostly terrible. The Firehouse is a rare find in these parts, offering great coffee in a great atmosphere - you guessed it - an old firestation.
They have a full bar and kitchen, and during meal times it's hard to get a seat, but there are always the lounges near the entrance.
Very nice coffee, nice flavour and well textured milk. Great staff - very friendly.
I went to romeo's after reading good things, maybe from the Good Weekend. I was expecting good things, but my initial experience was them forgetting my coffee. Not a good start. When I notified them they were very apologetic, and had coffee to me in a minute.
And it was fantastic. Lovely strength and amazing texture. I'll make a point of going out of my way to get a coffee here.
I confirm everything aramsay said below.
Great to see a dedicated coffee shop in Diamond Creek. I could tell after one lap of the street that this was the place to get a coffee, and the external cues were correct. Shocked by a face looking up at me from my latte art.
I might be moving there for work, and if so I guess I'll end up there everyday.
Closes at 3pm though!
I was working in Richmond for a few days and thought the name sounded familiar when I went there. I concur that it is a great coffee. They handed a huge number of take aways, and the quality wasn't comprimised with the quantity. Both times I went the coffee was great and consistent.
